  • Great outlook on a unfortunate accident. I also experienced a Subdural Hematoma 13yrs. ago when I was 16yrs old. I was at a school trip up north at Gore Mountain at a skiing trip, last day before the buses took us back for a 6hr drive..friends and I decided to try other the bunny slope and go to the top of the mountain and give it a go. Careless you can say knowing this was my first time skiing...

  • on the way the down I find myself catching speed and wasn't the greatest in stopping so I previously rolled to the side to stop. This time cause of the speed I was going I rolled in a tree and hit the right side of head into a tree. I felt just light headed nothing serious..they bought be down to Medical center cleared me and gave me an Advil lol. But, the blessing of all this happened on the bus on the way back..

  • .I started to feel nauseous and started to vomit. Later finding out those are the signs of a head trauma..We stopped at the nearest hospital where they conducted CTScans and performed emergency surgery.Def. a medical miracle cause a week after surgery and 27staples I was back in school. It's good to hear stories similar to your own... each day is a gift live it to the fullest

  • Sir, thank you for sharing your experience. I have also suffered a "spontaneous" chronic subdural haematoma which was bilateral in nature and had a similar operation to yourself. I hope you are continuing to do well, you certainly look well in your video! The positive outlook is essential. I do hope you both enjoyed your zoo visit and fulfilled your photography wishes too! Stay well.

  • thank you lou for sharing this, I was sad watching this, because you have been an inspiration to me, even now, i am just glad to know you are alive, and being alive is a blessing. xoxo. Laura
