Joey Pearson went to my middle school. I never really knew him, but I heard a lot of crazy stuff. He was a Teachers Aid for my friends english class, and he was really out there. Haha he just seemed like he thought he was really cool. And it seems that he is, no one else has a real music video!

I've gone to school with him for four years now, so I know some about him.

I've never talked to him, but this is what people say:

He's not gay, but he isn't well liked by most of the school. He's egotistical, and tends to talk down to everyone.

He does have a great singing voice and I'd love to hear him cover a queen song, but I have to say I was less than impressed by his last two renditions of The Star Spangled Banner.

I remember seeing this cut quite a while ago and I liked it then too. IMO Joey has been mis-managed. His talent and ability have gone largely unrecognised in the entertainment industry and I think this is unfortunate. His rendition of the Stevie Wonder track shows he still has what it takes. I only hope those responsible for his direction realise it soon, and allow him to blossum.

Ah, he's young yet. Just 15. Give it time. Even if he didn't make it big until 19 or 20...that would be okay. At one point, he was really into the old school R&B...he still likes that, but he's taking more now to any genre that has really good songs. For example, he likes songs by both Donny Hathaway...as well as Procol Harum. As long as he's singing something...he's okay with it. Right now, he's in the studio working on a song by Billy Steinberg. Along with his own material. He's also working on the piano to Candle in the Wind...a song he wants to add to his live performances. :)

Yes Elton John is the type of artist I was thnking of, and Candle in The Wind is one of his best. (except the Lady Di version, lol) I look forward to watching Joey's career/music evolve. I am assuming that you are his dad, or family - and if this is correct, you must be very proud!
