IMAGINE THIS - Steve Martin and The Folksmen!! I would love to go to a show that featured both acts. Then you have the funniest men in comedy playing the best music in the US. Even better if Harry Shearer would play the show in drag. <3
"Singing a song and performing a song from his CD, entitled 'The Crow' [...]" (0:19) – Letterman sure does a whole lot of preparation for his guests...
won the well deserved award as well. who'd have guessed. amazing technicality as well. what an entertainer steve martin turned out to be. we're so lucky to experience him in his lifetime.
My wife hates bluegrass but I tell her to listen for irish infuence in the music, she's proud Irish and likes the music but not the singing. Can't get her to like it
Just saw them in Mesa, AZ last night. Wow what a show. I'm a classically and jazz trained musician and haven't really ever listened to blue grass except for Bela Fleck and Nickel Creek. Their concert was one of the best concerts I've ever been to: funny, highly entertaining, and great music.
Oh my god that is the most beautiful mandolin. Steve Martin obviously dominates the banjo, and everyone else is exceptional as well, but just wow. Mandolin of the heavens.
Comedians do have other talents...Steve Martin's musicianship really comes out in this performance. It good he showcases that and the Steep Canyon Rangers are a great group. Just like the Marx Brothers...we have all seen Harpo play the harp and piano and Chico play piano in their movies but few know that Groucho was a violinist. Those guys came from a very musical family.
Saw their show in London this week and it was a really amazing night. Huge talent and great performances from everyone. Standing O well done, more please.
@SenorBloo you must be jealous . it is part of the show he dead pans to show he is still a funny guy . Why can't you admit he is a great performer and has many talents that God has blessed him with
i love the break down at 2:48

First.
Also, Steve martin is so stiff. It looks like someone stuck that banjo up his ass right before the show.
