  • Yeah, I was about to say, that looks an awful lot like Mozart

  • Wow didn't realise Mozart wrote this Canon.

  • Não percebi o porquê da foto do Mozart visto que o Canon é do Pachelbel --'

  • I don't like this version. I'ts too drawn out.

  • I've heard many far more enjoyable performances of this to be honest. This version feels incredibly restricted and constrained. It is mostly lacking in emotional expression, whereas other versions are really moving. Technically I think there's a lot of staccato in this - have never seen the score so maybe that's how he wrote it(?) but I prefer a bit more phrasing and sustained notes.

Do please pass on my comments to the performers...

  • I found this a tedious version. And could you not have posted a picture of Pachelbel ?

  • Well... I guess he looks sort of like Pachelbel in the nose region..?

  • This is Mozart , my friend. almost 100 years of diference

  • Um, the picture is Mozart....as you've been informed quite a lot I see....

    But this is BEAUTIFUL!

  • I was just watching (on youtube) a young man mixing club/house/electronica music and doing vocals for a song live. Eventually I realized there was a classical song that he was mixing into it! Sure enough it's Canon in D. It's nice to see young artists utilize the classics. The finale was just great...it's Lolo Forest by Boy Eats Drum Machine. (BEDM)

Pretty dang epic when you get a night-club crowd to cheer and dance to Pachelbel!

  • the 3 dislikes r beiber fans

  • Probably Pachelbel has the the same nose as Mozart....

  • Mozart picture? Really? I mean, he was probably the greatest classical composer ever, but this piece was written by Johann Pachelbel. Which is is probably why it's called PACHELBEL's Canon.

  • What has to do with Mozart Pachelbel? I do not understand?

  • What the hell is mozart doin in a pachalbel piece?? I mean look at the pic, he seems to think like :,,F*** you idiot''

  • The awkward moment when Mozart is in the picture on Pachelbel.

  • @Urimacs that awkward moment when 9gag quotes will be used on youtube. lol

  • @jenelcarlo The awkward moment when people think "awkward moment" jokes started on 9gag.

  • 3 personas prefieren wachiturros

  • The pitcture isn't correct. That's Mozart...

  • this is REAL MUSIC - Rarity in our times

  • @PedroPaulo744 Awww, why do you think that? Is this what you want? Or what? I just hope you are happy, whatever you do!!

  • Music aside, this is not the dress from the period that pachelbel lived in. This is mid 1700's.

  • Pachelbel, Johann (1653-1706), German composer, one of the great organ masters of the generations before J.S. Bach, was born in Nurnberb in August 1653. He studied in Altdorf and Regensburg, and later held posts as organist in Vienna, Stuttgart, and other cities. In 1695 he was appointed organist at the St. Sebalduskirche in Nurnberg, where he remained until his death on March 6 or 7, 1706. All Pachellbel’s work is in a clear and contrapuntally simple style.

  • His organ compositions show a knowledge of the Italian forms such as the toccata, derived through J.J Froberger from G. Frescobalddi, of special importance are his chorale-preludes, which did much to establish the chorale melodies of Protestant north Germany in the more lyrical musical atmosphere of the Catholic south. Pachelbel also wrote harpsichord music, but with out much feeling for that instrument’s individuality, and other instrumental music, including six suites for two violins.

  • That's Mozart.....?????

  • @miralunasilva no its Johann Pachelbel..

  • How could it be perfect? You put a picture of Mozart on a music from Bach ><

  • @momo03329 Not from Bach. This is of Johann Pachelbel, who was born before Bach.

  • @Herrsharp Mea culpa ;)

  • Great part of the song begins at 2:03

  • Pachelbel is the originator of awesomeness. This song brought awesome to this world.

  • What?? Mozart?? :O

  • Belle et émouvante, triste mais remplie d'espoir, pleine de beauté et de pradoxs .

  • EXCELSA!!!!! EXITO!!!!

  • Love this music ...soothing!!!

  • 2:04-3:04 was prolly the best and most memorable part for me

  • You do realize that is a portrait of Mozart and not Pachelbel, right? Goodness gracious....wikipedia is only a click away!

  • true...but chicks dig it

  • A bit sad this song is associated with weddings...This song should signifiy the EVERLASTING beauty of the world.

  • HEY! that's MOZART!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why do they put the portrait of Mozart?

  • Pacebel music and you have MOZART's pic up? Do you know what your doing?

  • @Torcan1 gee, thanks for being the 400th poster to spot that!

  • @Torcan1 Do you know what YOU'RE doing? Grammar wise? It's you're nor your!

  • @dduble07 It's not "nor" it's "not".

  • @riceisdelicious Looks like the grammar cop just busted the grammar cop on the charges of spelling shit wrong! Well sir, it's been a good run but escort me to jail I shall plead the 5th!

  • @riceisdelicious You can say "nor" or "not" o__O What are you talking about?

  • @IMMAKIMMI Not in that context. "Nor" is used in sentences to show a non-contrasting negative idea whereas "not" is used to negate a statement. That is to say, for nor to be used properly in that sentence, it would have had to say "...It's not you're nor your!". Of course, since that goes against the meaning of what he was trying to say, that wouldn't be correct.

  • @riceisdelicious @IMMAKIMMI typo maybe? "R" and "T" are right next to eachother. He may have hit the "R" key by accident. Either way, this is Youtube, not a college level abstract or something.

  • @BigRhinoVideos I know it's a typo, but I had to point it out to be a grammar nazi.

  • @Torcan1 lmao fucking shit up thats for sure lol just kidding love this song

  • @Torcan1 I agree, but if you're going to critisize someone else about being stupid in the future I would bother to look up the difference between "your" and "you're". Since you used it incorrectly there. Just a tip.

  • @Torcan1 This is a crime against classical music! But hey, who could stay upset with such an absolute dream of a piece of music like that? Certainly not me!

  • This song is going to be played at my funeral, since I will never marry anyone.

  • @PedroPaulo744 Yeah, same here.

    This is the prettiest song I've ever heard, anyone wants to suggest any other better songs? (;

  • @LamentedGrief Better than this one is hard... but I like toccata and fugue, spring.

  • @PedroPaulo744 some epic funeral

  • @PedroPaulo744 gonna play at my wedding, (:

  • @PedroPaulo744

    That's sort of depressing.

  • @Dreadmantisthe2nd The truth is depressing.

  • @PedroPaulo744 why??

  • @beatnik8983 Why what?

  • @PedroPaulo744 And the best part, it will not be one minute of silence, it will be 6:20 so they will appreciate the good music.

  • @PedroPaulo744 Same here, you sir have taste in music. :D

  • @pebblesjc3498 Thank you, I can say the same about you.

  • Never to be played at my wedding...

I love him so much, and I didn't even know I wanted a marriage until he said it was over-rated...
