It doesn't make sense why people would think Red is Ash. I mean think back to G/S/C. Red has an ESPEON and in HG/SS they replaced it with Lapras. THIS is why Nintendo is retarded these days. I REMEMBER IT! OK so with this stupid argument about red V ash going on no one has realized that red has no official team this is because anyone who has played R/B/G/FR/LG is red and the teams they use could be considered reds team so the argument of red vs ash is irrelevant. ash could beat red in some cases as easily as red could beat ash, with that being said, can everyone just shut up and enjoy the video.
Ash would win if he and Red had an "anime-style" battle where he could yell all he wanted, but with DS competitive battling Red would win because of superior pokemon (and, Ash yelling at his DS wouldn't do anything!)
i beat the elite four and steven with only a kyorge and sceptile and i i only used lombre as a distraction to heal my pokemon aND kyorge was only level 50 when i battled the champion and my sceptile was 54

And honestly, it's generally accepted by the Pokemon community that Red would destroy Ash in a Pokemon battle for obvious reasons. And Ash comes off as an idiot in the newer series. Perhaps MIGHT have had a shot at beating Red back in '96-00 but now, Red would win in a heartbeat.

Red is the original character from the game and the manga, ash is the cartoon character loosely based off of Red, with an emphasis on loosely.

Being friends with pokemon is important, people give you really great items and Return is POWERFUL. 0_0 I beat a level 65 croagunk with a level 50 serperior with one hit thanks to that. And no one puts a pikachu against onix anyway. Only Ash could do that and STILL WIN.

May is the daughter of the Petalburg gym leader and only partakes in contests. Loosely bases off doesnt make them the same person.
Also i always used to beat Brock's onix with my pikachu in yellow... Brock isnt exactly difficult.

Caterpie is weak as hell, he never caught the Haunter it just followed him, chimchar joined ash on its own... He gets a few yes, but dont act like he has some kind of record for numbers of captures. A lot of the ones he does captures want to go with him anyway and don't resist when they get inside the ball after the battle...

Ash just isnt shown to be a competent trainer until the end of a league, then when his next journey starts he forgets all the basics and becomes a herp da werp fail trainer... And when he finally gets a decent team going the league ends and he benches everything but pikachu.

@POKEMONoverJB im not resorting, if you actually knew as much as you said you knew about the cartoons, a couple of the pokemon episode writers left the company because they ran out of ideas for the show and had to write for other companys (i think one of them does something for keroro gunso) and if you actually watched the movie he went flying through the stadium and was about to get smashed. and i never said i even liked red (yes he is better than ash) but i prefer the R/S/E characters

@POKEMONoverJB i saw his name in the credits of an old pokemon episode then saw it again in a keroro gunso episode credits and it is not in the new episode credits anymore so i searched into it and found it was the guy who helped create ashes character. if it was me in ashes position i would have thrown an ultra ball at mewtwo and get mew to hold it shut with its phycic powers so that mewtwo became mine and not risk running between them (i am sure load would agree with me)

OK so with this stupid argument about red V ash going on no one has realized that red has no official team this is because anyone who has played R/B/G/FR/LG is red and the teams they use could be considered reds team so the argument of red vs ash is irrelevant. ash could beat red in some cases as easily as red could beat ash, with that being said, can everyone just shut up and enjoy the video.

And honestly, it's generally accepted by the Pokemon community that Red would destroy Ash in a Pokemon battle for obvious reasons. And Ash comes off as an idiot in the newer series. Perhaps MIGHT have had a shot at beating Red back in '96-00 but now, Red would win in a heartbeat.

@POKEMONoverJB Red is not Ash, Red catches his pokemon (he even has captures BEFORE he became an "official" trainer), ash plays patty cake with them and gets them to tag along. Red earns each of his badges through winning battles, ash had 3 given to him out of pity in his first league alone....
Red is the original character from the game and the manga, ash is the cartoon character loosely based off of Red, with an emphasis on loosely.

May is the daughter of the Petalburg gym leader and only partakes in contests. Loosely bases off doesnt make them the same person.
Also i always used to beat Brock's onix with my pikachu in yellow... Brock isnt exactly difficult.

Ash just isnt shown to be a competent trainer until the end of a league, then when his next journey starts he forgets all the basics and becomes a herp da werp fail trainer... And when he finally gets a decent team going the league ends and he benches everything but pikachu.

Team Aqua and magma I don't believe disbanded. Cyrus actually succeeded in getting to his new world.
And try building a Pokémon game based on the anime. It won't be easy.

Red may have deafeted TR, but they came back stonger TWICE. Red is almost invincible. Ash is a champion. Both are awesome. Face it. TM and TA WERE deafeted.

@POKEMONoverJB true but ash never tries to catch pokemon unless they want to travel with him and his pikachu always goes back to level 5 at the begining of each reigon, also ash never grows up he has been 10 for more than 10 years EVEN THOUGH they showed an episode of his anniversary of meeting pikachu. he never tries to catch legendarys, he always says the wrong things, everything he does never makes sense, he is obviosly gay, i could go on for days but you will never change your mind.

@MrRockinRiolu Ash has a crush on Misty, PIKACHU DOESN'T go back to level 5, otherwise baby SCRAGGY would have done damage. He's not 10, based on the anneversiry, he's around 15. And, 30 TAUROS, PIDOVE, SNIVY, NOCTOWL, BULBASAUR, CATERPIE, PIDGEOTTO, SEWADDLE, KRABBY, MUK, QUILAVA, TOTODILE, TAILLOW, TREECKO, CORPISH, STARLY, TURTWIG, GIBLE, PRIMAPE, SQUIRTLE, LAPRAS, BEEDRILL and HAUNTER were all caught in battle by Ash. He's actually focusing on SAVING D WORLD more then catching legendaries.

@POKEMONoverJB i didn't say he stayed level 5 i said he goes back, as in ash has to train him up again using moves pikachu would have at a high level, it lost to a snivy that had never battled before, pikachu should have been able to take at least 15 leaf tornados. and ash did not have a crush on misty, he treated her exactly the same as he treated brock, also all those pokemon ash caught were never strong enough, ashes pokemon are kept at a limited strength, why do you think gible never evolved

@MrRockinRiolu He doesn't go back. GIBLE never evolved because the anime is DIFFERENT 2 the video games. PIKACHU was beaten by ATTRACT. Ash treated Misty the same, because he doesn't want to admit it! Ash beat 2 legendary pok'emon, trained by a pok'emon master, in the same battle! And if your talking about Trip's SNIVY, it was luck. The anime isn't the same as the video games! He can't just turn of the power if he loses!

@POKEMONoverJB just because the anime is different to the game is no excuse, pikachu should have still managed to withstand those attacks if ash is as good as you think he is he should have created a defence agains attract since he has come across it before, ash isn't the person to hide things, if he liked misty he would have said it, when he was fighting the legendarys he won outta luck, and trips snivy had never battled before and pikachu had beaten a latios, luck had nothing to do with it.

@MrRockinRiolu Yes SNIVY had. He knows leaf tornado, believe me, he has, and yes, PIKACHU DID beat LATIOS, you couldn't do that it was lv 100! So was DARKRAI. Trip surprised Ash, it happens to all of us. U dn't even KNOW Ash, he was hiding it it's so obvious! And, In the video games, you have infinate chances to win, in the anime, Ash only has 1. Ash faced attract 1s, I've seen it loads because I have lots of games & I can't think of a way of stopping attract. And I rule. Ash rules more though.

3. It doesn't work like that. It would do A LOT of damage to PIKACHU, and, if dodging doesn't work, trying to use a move that PIKACHU doesn't even KNOW anymore, combined with a move he still does, WOULDN'T. He DOES dodge with quick attack. And counters moves a lot.

@POKEMONoverJB yeah i said tactics, i said nothing about cheat codes and anyway not everyone uses cheats, most people do like to find things out for themselves, and also i was using an example, in the actual games i would be using another pokemon instead of pikachu all the time, and if you haven't noticed already, in the anime for some reason most pokemon know more than 4 moves.

@POKEMONoverJB i am not trying to say that i am completely right i am just saying that ash is not as good as people think he is, most things he does doesn't even make sense or work, such as the episode where he was up agains the double battle gym leaders in hoenn and got pikachu to shoot into the air that somehow triggered a lightning bolt which hit pikachu and swellow and gave them an electric sheild, i have to say that it just doesn't work like that. your making ash seem like a role model.

@POKEMONoverJB im not resorting, if you actually knew as much as you said you knew about the cartoons, a couple of the pokemon episode writers left the company because they ran out of ideas for the show and had to write for other companys (i think one of them does something for keroro gunso) and if you actually watched the movie he went flying through the stadium and was about to get smashed. and i never said i even liked red (yes he is better than ash) but i prefer the R/S/E characters

@POKEMONoverJB i know that, but i wasn't talking about them, i was talking about the writers that had to transfer to different companys to write for them as they couldn't think of anything else for ash to do (like i said one of them now works on keroro gunso) and if ash had not gone between them they would have tired each other out enough for ash to throw a pokeball and catch mewtwo (because for some reason ash always catces the pokemon he wants)

@POKEMONoverJB i saw his name in the credits of an old pokemon episode then saw it again in a keroro gunso episode credits and it is not in the new episode credits anymore so i searched into it and found it was the guy who helped create ashes character. if it was me in ashes position i would have thrown an ultra ball at mewtwo and get mew to hold it shut with its phycic powers so that mewtwo became mine and not risk running between them (i am sure load would agree with me)
