Anyone know where this gun is that the hand of Jennifer Mui, the cover of the game, I really wanted to tou that gun! frequent that I use is the LIGHT MG, ANTI-TANK ROCKET, PROTOTYPE RIFLE! I'm wanting more that this weapon in the hands of Jennifer Mui
They tried too hard with the humor in the second. In the first, it was subtle, and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my disc is messed up, and I don't know where to get another, my local game stores don't have copies.
If this game was terrible, I'd use the graphics as a way to heavily criticize this game. However, this game is my most favorite game of all time, and i'm having so much fun when I play this that I could care less about the graphics. If only Mercs 2 could've been this game with HD graphics and multiplayer, I would've never needed another game. I wish we could make every Call of Duty player play this, they would love this. I'm getting teary as I write this. At least I have a ps2 still, Here i come
I think what made Mercs 2 worse was how cartoony they made everything. Think about... all the characters (especially the three playable ones) were taken from Mercs 1 and extrapolated beyond belief. The missions were cartoony (ie, blowing EVERYTHING UP, instead of tactics like in Mercs 1), the atmosphere/setting was cartoony, the explosions were cartoony, physics/animations were cartoony, storyline was cartoony (whereas Mercs 1 was engrossing) and some of the music was a little cartoony.
i love this game ...the freedom is intoxicating the amount of weapons and air strikes.."that you don't need to be 3 feet away to call in" like in mercs 2 ..the soundtrack alone is worth the 20 i put down for this game. and i love how your tactics actually matter in this game..but also every mission can be done easily if you outthink the ai
@jonnyboy1091 oh thats easy just grab that nk tank the first one you come to by ordering an nk jeep..just drive right up beside it. then take the back way across through the field until you come to some houses closest to that pesky checkpoint. while hidden just jump out and have the CP carpet bombed. the near nightmare is part 2 of that mission lol
@thelaughingman79 lol its funny because like 2 hours after i posted that i went and finished it XD. i am now 100 million dollars richer :))). now to do it all over again with mattias and that chinese girl DX
@jonnyboy1091 i played the crap out of this one .. most will disagree but i think its the greatest action/ strategy game ever...and the sheer amount of tops and great soundtrack really make it a winner..mercs 2 while good..and alot of fun to play co op, with is still fairly depressing in comparison to pod
@thelaughingman79 yea i really like this game. if school didnt get in the way i would play this for days on end for thr sheer replayability.while on the topic of mercs 2, may i ask what is it that people dont like about it? i mean, i wont disagree if most people dislike it, but i would like to know what makes this one a keeper and part 2 a stink.
@jonnyboy1091 the enemies could cap you in the head from a mile and a half away, wasn't alwasys "there", the storyline was too short. On top of all that, you could only use the nuclear bunker buster once in the whole game. The only good thing bout it was improved graphics, swimming, and boats.
What I hate about Mercs 2 is that it just DESTROYED every shred of personality of the original characters. Jacobs goes from eager-to-put-past-behind-him, quiet, and level-headed, to impulsive dick with a gun. Matthias went from kick-ass, realistic, hilarious, and quietly angry, to cliche'd dick with no shred of Swedish heritage (let alone accent). And Jennifer, well, I think the message is clear.
@Qtoyghs Plus the fact that Mercs2 storyline is cliche and simple. The storyline in Mercs1 was very more interesting and engaging. Also, the HVT's in Mercs1 had more of a purpose then in Mercs2. They were also harder to find in Mercs1 which was more fun. You where given clues about there whereabouts instead knowing their exact GPS coordinates like in the second one. In my opinion, the third one should like the first one, except with better graphics and a slightly differnet storyline.
@tapanisiirtola He and Kelly Bailey are easily my favorite composers of all time. I can't compare them because their stylings are so different, but damn.
Ace of Diamonds... I have respect for him.
His bases, defenses... troops... Epicness.
I remember dying 30 times before I realised I can get a T-62 or just drive on the road :D
Yet, I always hid behind the bushes, used snipers, flash grenades...
Oh, can somebody help me find this game in stores....I'll buy myself a PS2 again...or PS3

@Uriel55459 It's the CARBINE, you get it at the beginning of the game. Some of the SK basic troops carry it too.
