I used to live for the episodes of Crossroads in which he would be preparing for the amateur boxing championship and off would come the shirt. I also recall he played Cowboy in The Boys in the Band, at Wyndham's Theatre in the West End, when the UK cast took over from the US original. And I remember he was in Joan Crawford's last movie Trog, not to mention lots of tv shows including Riviera Police. He is - according to what little info there is - now rather reclusive. And I still revere him.

John made a few movies later in his life. He was in some of the sword and sandal flicks. I am sure he is listed at imdb. He was a great physique model in that great era. I don't think it could ever be considered porn. He and other models did inspire me to work out as a teen and all these years later I am glad I did not quit. I still do pushups every day.
