I think about 95% of women comedians are just horrible too. It's not exactly what they talk about, even though most of them talk about shit that isn't funny, but it is the way they deliver the jokes. It's so awkward. You know when some one says a joke that isn't funny, but they want you to laugh, so they tell it a second time? It always feels like the second time with most girls. However Kristen Schaal, and Kaitlin Olson from Sunny In Philly are two of my favourite comedians all around.

Maria Bamford's the best. I'm not too big a fan of Sarah Silverman, though. But no, there are plenty. Lots of people just don't look for em or blow em off because of gender.

Paula Poundstone, for example, for some older stuff. Lots of people seem to like Ellen. Uh, Sara Haskins is pretty much the funniest person I've heard. Mindy Kaling is pretty great. Andy Smith has her moments. These are off the top of my head, but I could give you more funny females if you'd like.

What a character she is, Kristen Schaal. She's very funny in a pretty dark and unique way (her "lead in" to bicycle joke is really effective -and the audience is appropriately jolted when she confesses to hitting the guy on the bike - a good setup). I like this comedienne a lot. Her bugeyed "wonder" and creepiness is really different, subversively funny, like a young Ruth Gordon.
