This is actually a good representation of the Cold War.

Blue army attacks, Berlin blockade and start of arms race between nations. Americas army gets more influence, Russia tries, yet is more bark than bite(As history showed). Blue army runs, Soviet Union falls, US remains dominate until "communist" nations kick back thanks to them getting help from us(the cannon ball) and beat us back.

The irony is that this was a genuine tactic during WWII, where soldiers used inflatable military vehicles to scare off enemies. Just hope that none of them is carrying a needle.

Famicom Wars combines 2 of my favourite things: Famicom and Wars. Invading and attacking my opponent ruthlessly, but strategically is fun. Making their tanks go BOMB and their soldiers die is fun.

After playing this for a little bit I've concluded that Super Famicom Wars>>>Advance Wars. It's just so much more fun! I think this is how the series was supposed to be-totally light hearted..and now we get Advance wars: Days of Ruin with its depressing, post apocalyptic theme...

Seen it? I have bought it, played it, loved it. The soundtrack is just so kick ass... But it's hard to find it for download! :( Anyway, it takes place before the other games, that's why it's such a wasteland. It's more serious, yes, but you have to think that none of the original CO:s were even born when it took place. But it would be depressing if all the CO:s from past games were dead... But now they're not!

?...teh soundtrack is so grainy. how can it be kick ass? also, i never said DoR sucked. it has plenty of redeming qualitys that make up for the changes. and there is no download play, and the online play needs a bit of tuning. thats all.

The ones on Game Boy in Japan are called Game Boy Wars. Except for AW1 and AW2, which in Japan was referred to as the "Game Boy Wars Advance 1 + 2". Advance Wars (the first one) was not released in Japan in 2001, unlike USA, because they did not want to encourage terrorism at that time.

Both AWDS and AW:Dor are called "Famicom Wars DS" and "Famicom Wars DS 2"
