@robertsea111: strong country and modeling are 2 different things. she meant to say it as 2 different points. in this commercial, they are penetrating into china. a strong economy which opens a wider market for fashion (lane crawford and other fashion labels). the models represent china market.

Fashion is an art form, yes.
But it's a simple marketing technique. China's economy is becoming more and more strong.
There's a lot of high-end consumers in China, therefore Chinese models are becoming more popular as they represent the country and its people.
