@ATouchOfMagic88 I use Linux Mint. I loved 11, and I'm currently trying 12 out. I started out on Ubuntu 10.04. Then they put Unity in Ubuntu, so I changed to Linux Mint 11. I was dual booting Windows 7, but I have recently completely unistalled Windows (not sure if that was a mistake yet or not lol).

@ATouchOfMagic88 I deleted all of Windows 7 by installing Linux Mint 11 onto 100% of my hard disk. I'm in high school, so I understand how you feel about keeping Windows. But I never have an issue out of Linux that's school related. It serves me well. Windows 7 is great, but I really like Linux Mint 11 ^_^ I agree, Vista was Microsoft's worst mistake. XP was a classic. I haven't seen Windows 8 yet, but I'm eager see how it is. Let me know if you ever try Linux Mint :)

You don't even have to do all of this.. You're making it too complicated for newbies, especially for the ones who don't have multiple users on their system. All they need to do is just drag and drop the theme archive into the Appearances window, done. Even the command-line stuff you are doing is inefficient. For one thing, you are typing $HOME when you could use ~ and you're not using tab completion. If you know all of this already, why show people the hard way? Linux is easy.
