It kicked ass to see the Whitestars, Shadow Vessels AND Vorlon ships fighting together on the same side, the first time ever!

This of course would only happen on B5 if the Thirdspace aliens showed up during the Shadow War, THAT would have been interesting to see, the Army of Light (who controls the White Stars), the Vorlons AND the Shadows putting aside their differences to take down an enemy that threatened them all.

@Bronasaxon Beats me but I'm glad they did! Hearing the Shadow Vessels cries as they emerged with the Babylon 5 season 4 theme music playing made me think "Yeah! The Shadows are on the side of good now!". It's the equivalent of the Cardassians from DS9 switching sides and joining up with the Federation and its allies in the final battle of the Dominion War!

@Bronasaxon Also, I guess Species 8472 and the Dominion badmouthed Lorien (the first one) who BOTH the Vorlons AND the Shadows revere and listen to or worse yet, harmed him and now they're putting aside their differences to wipe out the guilty party. It's like if two brothers who fight all the time team up to go after someone who hurt their mother and/or father figure.

it seems to me B5 wasn't known for there awesome shields in fact the species they did meet with shields nearly wiped them out. Star Trek ships have truly awesome shields. They would have precious little to fear from B5 ships. The only thing that could save B5 ships from the torpedos would be the interceptor weapons and they wouldn't stop the beam weapons.

@woofdogmeow Hmmm... it depends. Vorlon and Shadow technologies were absolutely destructive.

Of course, it is hard to compare two fictional universes, but logic says that any of the first races would crush Star Trek ships as if they were made of paper, regardless of shields (normal Star Trek weapons quickly take care of Star Trek shields, so stronger weapons would probably bypass them with ease).

The older races in Star Trek are usually invincible, so Vorlons and Shadows would be such vs. ST.

1. Species 8472 are a telepathic race. They would have owned the shadows without difficulty.

2. ST-ships have shield-technology like the third-space aliens in B5 (the same aliens that even the vorlons feared). Even a vorlon cruiser would have needed a little more firepower than that to take out a Dominion war cruiser.

1. As appear to be allies, Vorlons would have most likely protected the Shadows with their telepathic capabilities.

2. Yes they have shield technology, but we have no ground on what the excat numbers are. You can say that early 21st century man has a bullet proof vest, but does that mean he can stand against futuristic 23rd century guns that use bullets (considering that in this scenario we would be still developing better version of metallic bullet weapons).

If you remember from B5, the First Ones left the Shadows and Vorlons to guide the younger races. Somewhere down the line they disagreed on order vs chaos but before that they worked together. But obviously the Whitestars and other ships did not exist during that time, lol. I think all B5 fans have wondered, at least once, about the Shadows working with the current generations. I would be awesome :)

I am sorry, but this video is technologically inacurrate. 2 8472 bioships would whpe everything out. You need Nanite torpedos to defeat them. B5 does not have the technology to initiate that action. However, the Dominion and Klingon vessels can.

Q is still far more powerful. Q can completely manipulate create or destroy anything it desires in time and space. Vorlons and the other ancients from B5 can bend many rules of physics with their enormus powers but not to the level that Q is capable of!

of course, only Lorien's race (or Thirdspace) can probably really take on the Q but the Vorlons can still probably "hurt" some of the Q somewhat. Besides, the Q haven't been shown to be immune to telepathic attacks, in fact, Q was afraid of Guinan. But whenever you have an omnipotent (literally) race around....nothing really matters in the long run.
