  • And now, for the final time, the NBC Proud N Logo!!!!!

  • @newscaster13 and get ready for the new peacock!!!

  • That was the last time NBC used the Proud N...

And that was the introduction to the 1986-present logo, right?

  • I hate that logo.

  • Which, the Proud N, or the 2009 NBC Special Presentation bumper?

  • @MrLogoman007 The Proud N Logo.

  • NBC cheaped out on the Special Presentation bumper this year. It doesn't even say "NBC Special". It just has the Peacock and then "portions pre-recorded" below it, and it's in the current BG used for this year's promo campaign!

  • Does anyone by chance have the NBC Special bumper used after this one, I remember it being shown before one of Bob Hope's

    Specials.

  • You wouldn't happen to have recorded the bit at the end of the show where they revealed the then-new logo?

  • So this was the final airing of this logo.

  • That's right!

  • Long Live Must See TV!

  • Was this the same voiceover announcer that did the "In Living Color" intros in the 60s

  • I was wondering the same thing.......Don Pardo?

  • It was Bill Wendell.

  • This is by far, the cleanest version of the NBC Special animation from this era, I've seen....(You wouldn't happen to have the 83-84 version of this intro, with the same animation, but with the "Be There" Music?)

  • No, I don't have the "Be There" version of the NBC Special bumper. This one came from my SuperBeta original recording of the NBC 60th Anniversary show from 1986.

  • You mean this animation exists prior to 1984?

  • Yes, the animation is from NBC's 1983-84 "Be There" Campaign.
