Real world isn't full of all success and they need to condition for failure.....we are just getting to soft, want to much attention, and think we deserve it all....we don't. BTW, I forgot to mention that my other son who is 11 has Speech Apraxia. It's a motor speech disorder affecting an individual's ability to translate conscious speech plans into motor plans. He's also a little different. Remember his crazy video? He wants to be just like you. He has lot of confidence, has friends, hates school, but no bulling. I think what helps kids is the confidence. My older one finally carries his self with confidence. It really helps, and kids can see it.

When we got him out it looked like he was having a seizure. His arms, legs, and other parts of his body could not stop moving. It was the saddest thing to see. I took him out of school. Wrote a letter to the school board, director of Ed. in DC. Even the president, anyone else I could think of.
Part 3: So, that went on all through 6th grade. By the end of 6th grade, he became so frustrated with them. His tics became worse because of the bullying. He couldn't control them. He started to strike back and that's when he started to get suspended. Which wasn't really fair, but what are you going to do when the school does nothing. I think they would rather have a problem with one parents then a dozen of them. How do you solve that. So, they denied anything was going on.
Part 2: The first few weeks of middle school were good, until the end of the year a bunch of kids in PE ganged up on him and started throwing paper balls that had metal wires wrapped up in them and that's when the trouble began. Teacher's didn't listen to his complaints, and the kids never got in trouble. They would call him names, mimic his tics, push him in the hallway when no one was looking. It got to the point where the principle didn't believe my son because they didn't see it.
Part 1: Boggie,your video really hits home. My other son, who is 14 now, has had Tourette's Syndrome since he was in 4th grade, that's when our life's changed. Every day was a struggle for him, going to school became so hard. Not only did he have that, but anxiety disorder, depression and panic attacks. That's when the kids started bulling him . 4th and 5th grade were pretty bad. I started receiving tons of phone calls from the school.

I was bullied at my old schools. sure it hurt but just think the bullies used to be bullied and thats why they have trouble accepting their differences so they vent and decide to hurt some one else but there are many ways to solve your problems you dont have to be afraid you can tell people whats going on. I didnt do this i held it all in and eventually i developed anger issues i've taken anger management classes and it didnt really help me out the way i thought it would. So stop bullying.

dude, you really inspire me, i definitely didnt have it as hard, but i have been on the recieving end of fat jokes, cos i am larger than many and very unhealthy, but you know, unless you accept yourself as who you are then no-one will. i found this helps alot, someone uses a fat joke at me, fuck it, hahaha your so right, then they have nothing to laugh about or feel powerful about cos i agreed and i didnt make myself vulnerable, they end up looking like dicks in front of their 'mates'.

I was always a nerd, geek or whatever they used to call us back then, I looked the part and fit the roll pretty much, but I did have one thing on my side, from the time I could stand, my Dad taught me to box,so I'm sure when I say to you that I shocked more then a few bullies when my time to be picked on came around, I was just fortunate enough to be able to defend myself well, but now that I look back, I think to myself "Boy, bet he didn't see that one coming" LOL
