  • do you have a new link on how to make a body suit pattern?

  • these links aren't working anymore, do you have a new page or something? I'm having such a hard time trying to make digi grade legs

  • Why you cut this soft cuddly fur???

  • I never thought to use a knnife like that to cut out the pattern, i'm the type of person that would be trying to cut it out by hand with a pair of scissors and wondering why it looked naff at the end, good tip =)

  • Do you know where I can get red fur??

  • @DBZanimetoys you can get red fur from just about any fabric store, though their fur is pretty short, think like teddy bear hair. if you want what's called long pile fur, where the hair is like 3 inches long or so, you'd have to order it online. red's popular so it should be easy to find.

  • how many yards of faux fur do u need for a full suit? Hancocks's, the store i go to for my fur, only sells it in yards and each yard is $25 so i dont want to be wasting my money, or not having enough money x.x

  • @funnykittenz1 Depending on your size anywhere from 4yrds-7yrds...I'm 5'9" , 175lbs and needed about 5yrds

  • I've always love your works and in fact I have one of your works in my studio laying about... the black tipped silver fox tail! ^^ I keep sending people that I know to you on a daily basis at times when they ask where did I get it from!

  • Excuse, i would just like to ask where you got your fake fur from, and how much would it cost for the size you are using, because i would like to make a 1.7meter scarf with real or fake fur but i do not know where to get it.

  • Have you ever tried cutting fur with a wood-burner? Its faster and easier than a knife. It melts through the backing, without melting the fur; and theirs no shedding.

  • where do u buy fur

  • @SageH0629 you can find it at your local fabric stor or online i perfer distinctivefabrics[dot]com they have really high quality fur.

  • what type of fur do u use... can it be any kind?

  • Can you show me how to take my burnt fake fur out from my jacket and replace it with a new one without destroying it? And how can I sew it in right? Thanks a lot...

  • This is a very helpful tutorial, thanks! :D I havn't done it yet, but when I have finished my fursuit head then I'll use this.

Also, you might find this wierd lol but... you sound like hailey from american dad xD (thats a compliment)

  • oops sorry lol wasn't meant to put fursuit head. *fursuit body lol

  • thanks! this looks a lot faster then scissors and you don't have to double the fabric :3

  • wow, k, that's much faster. one of my most dreaded parts about making anything is the fur cutting. it's not the fuzz mess left over, it's the time it takes to not cut the fur (making sure to weave the scissor blade up against the backing)... takes too long. was wishing i had so- ahahah i just remembered i have a knife i couldve used. still, i should probably try that knifey method when i have big pieces to cut... smaller ones i would probably still use the scissors.

  • How to you pant the fur or wat ever?

  • yay!! boxcutters ftw! lolz. they are the best for cutting fur. i hate using scissors...leaves a gigantic mess of furballs...

  • Is it okay to outline your pattern in sharpie? I just heard that when you wash your suit it bleeds through.

  • I've never had an issue. You can use a paint pen, chalk, pastels, etc if you're worried.

  • Ahh, i'm sure sharpie will be fine then. Ty <3

  • use a permanent marker, then. the more concerning issue with markers is that it can be seen in thinner or shorter furs.

  • I made one a few days ago actually and I found that my local Micheals has fake fur and sells patches about the size of two sheets of paper for about two dollars. HobbyLobby here didnt really have any selection and it was very expensive for the exact same thing.

  • Record time for patten cutting!! Nice!

  • hey im nine and i just like to try makeing sonic charictor suits(ps im a girl and i suck at making them)i only nine so gives me a break!!!!but i have a shadow sonic weresonic and knuckles costume i dont have a mask thats what imma trieng to figure out how to make but some of them look really good!!!!

  • here's a tip: don't let online weirdos know you're a nine year old girl.

  • I'm 11.

  • im trying to find a dark grey fur thats not to long...any idea where i can find it?

  • Walmart or furbid.

  • anyone kno whats best to cut over?

itled floor, wood or carpet? i'm ne to this so i don't ant to go messing up my carpet lol

and thanx for all the grate tutorials

  • carpet is best probably.

Wood can be nicked by the knife and scratch the floor. Tile can dull the knife instantly if you touch it to the grouting. Carpet's pile length is usually enough to keep the knife away from accidentally cutting the carpet backing.

  • thank you this is a BIG help

i'l be shore not to use wood and try to avoid tile

    :D have a good one

  • Wouldn't the carpet be torn also?

  • You're not hacking at this with a butcher knife - the pile length of the carpet is generally sufficient to keep the tiny edge of the blade that goes through the fur backing from cutting the backing of the carpet.

  • Oh, hey, that's the same color as my fur. =D

  • OMG BeetleCat has a razor *runs away and hides*

  • If the blade is sharp enough (as BeetleCat recommended) you shouldn't have to put too much pressure on. Just take your time if you're unsure about pressure and start on a practice piece before going on to cut the real thing, it'll help you get used to the cutting method =)

  • I recently started using a razorblade instead of scissors. It makes a HUGE difference :)

Does this mean your going to start posting more tutorials/tips?! :D :D :D

  • i always suffer with scissors and end up cutting the fur. i will try this way next time!
