these are awesome little things and can be homemade out of any durable material that is a straight shaft; i made one from a broken drumstick and whittled one end to a point :) theres a lot of vids here explaining the different uses of these and some are quite helpful :)

I dont think these would be useful unless your a person with a good amount of strength in your arms and i wouldnt want to have to be that close to the unruly subject
I have the aluminum Kubotan but I am switching to the Monadnock Auto Lock Jr. It is the same size as the traditional persuader but has a power tip and expands to about twice the length.
Anyone else than me thought that this looked like a dildo?

I made one myself with a sharp screw at the end, can't really carry it in your pocket because of the sharp screw but it would still do the job.
