Yuan (Dynasty) territory might have included Tibet, but Yuan was a Mongolian empire, not Chinese one. The same thing can be said about East Turkistan & Inner Mongolia. Ming and Qing Dinasty had only a bare "relation" with these areas. Han Chinese have never "govern" these - Han Chinese were and are "unwelcome" immigrants only. Tibet, East Turkistan, Outer Mongolia declared independence after Xinhai Revolution 1911 (Inner Mongolia 1939), which China has ignored until today.
