  • Awww that was adorable, I love ladybugs.

  • She/he tried to eat them >.<

  • I fucking hate ladybugs and they give off a terrible odor when you kill them. I mean they are everywhere!!

  • @tanman1234543 d...do you smell bugs after you kill them? That's weird.

  • @tanman1234543 well maybe dont kill them then. im sure you smell like shit when something kills you too

  • I remember seeing one tangled up in a spider's web. Took a stick and saved it. Even though I'm not a fan of bugs, it's better to save it than let it get eaten by a spider. And remember...

    ladybugs>spiders :)

  • :D I think they ladybug thinks there aphids.

  • I wish my ladybug was as spunky as urs...lol...love ur vid...

  • Oh my gosh, this is so cute! :-)

  • @shurnleet you're the ladybug? Huh,

  • It's kind of remarkable how ladybugs are one of the only insects that aren't completely revolting and gross to look at.

  • @porrsmurfen They really are the best example of how humans put appearance above all else in life. A ladybug is basically a beetle, just like the ones we tend to swat at every day. The reason why we don't is because their shells are red with black polka dots. Imagine if cockroaches had the same shells. Would they still be considered the pests they are today?

  • @JDtheDrunk I understand where you're coming from, and you can actually see the segmented insectlike body of the ladybug when it opens its shell to fly. The difference between a ladybug and a cockroach though, is that the ladybug is very small, and has a uniquely attractive looking outer shell that tell us it's harmless.

Cockroaches on the other hand, are fast, slink and quite large, and they are also vermin that steal food from humans, thus we swat them wether they have nice shells or not.

  • @JDtheDrunk It is also important to remember that our judgement of the insects' appearances are the results of millions of years of evolution, not some unique human, selfish virtue that should be looked down upon.

And the reason is quite simple, today if we look close up on a caterpillar or a beetle, they are the perfect depictions of moviemonsters. Our senses tell us to stay away from small invertebrates that could be poisonous, pestlike, or unhealthy to us - thus, we do.

  • omg thats me! now ill be famous

  • I bet you killed it :(

  • I bet you killed it :(

  • Its not often you see a bug actually playing :)

  • LOL

  • Now I want sprinkles in the same relative size :p Not ladybugs though, that'd creep me the fuck out :p They're just the right size as they are ;-)

  • Damn cute. Got my daughter to eat dinner in a jiffy. Thanks!

    AT

  • Too cool!!!! Love this little ladybug game.

  • Daww, how cute! I never thought about feeding a ladybug sprinkles, but it makes sense, seeing how aphids are sweet and ladybugs will eat pollen and nectar if they can't get aphids...must've been one hungry girl!

  • one BIG LADY BUG ITS THE ZIZE OF A GOLF BALL SHEESH DID IT EAT ALL THE SPRINKELS

  • holy god he loves those lil fuckers

  • ARE THOSE BBS?

  • this is so cute!!!

  • its a LADYBIRD you yank peice of shit

  • Good crap, who is really going to look to their friend and say, "Wow, did you see that video on YouTube of an Asian Beetle chasing sprinkles?!" No one. Yes, technically, it's not a ladybug, but this isn't a nature video, it's an absolutely adorable video, plain and simple. Geez, people can't stop the childish arguments online, can they?

  • is KATAMARI TIME!!!.

  • It looks more like it's trying to eat the sugar... but it keeps rolling away. It doesn't have a brain... it doesn't play.

  • Wheee SOOO CUTEEE!!!

  • KAT DENNINGS LIKED THIS!!! AHHHH!!!!!

  • @BrentEatsDiamonds Wow, that's pretty cool.

  • @StephLippitt I know! She eats from the cool-person-salad bar :)

  • @BrentEatsDiamonds You know, the tomatoes are always *so* much riper at the cool-person-salad bar. AND I've heard that instead of bacon bits, cool-persons get whole strips of bacon! Lucky ducks.

  • @StephLippitt ....Who wants whole strips of bacon on their salad anyway??? Bacon BITS are much more managable!

  • Lady bug wants SUGAR!!!!! lol

  • u//// u I thought... the yellow ones were a type of ladybug, and always called them the male lady bugs. (even though I knew it was quiet untrue)

    owell, Beatles are cute too.

  • Very cute! I just love ladybugs!

  • i lov this, awwww, the sprinkles look larger than hundreds and thousands, like little colourful balls. The big doesn't seem to get a good grip on these balls, sooooo cutey cutey !

  • Someday, i too hope to find an enormous field full of delicious colorful balls of sugar

  • @bernardcapri My friend, that is a truly respectable dream. I hope you get your wish. ^_^

  • @bernardcapri I too hope and dream... (dramatic whisper) I too.

  • did you buy smaller sprinkles next time? :D

  • well, he's having fun!

  • Aww look at it. Ladybugs are the only bugs that I can touch, lol. I can imagine it going all "nom nom nom!"

  • Not normally a bug fan, but I have to say, this is tres cute! (I hope you at least crunched one up for the poor guy though? lol)

  • How did i get here..

  • This isn't a ladybug, it's a Asian Beetle.

  • @StephLippitt whoops, sorry for stepping on your toe. Thought I point this out, 'cause I find them nasty and ugly (they bite and kill genuine ladybugs) compared to real ladybugs. It's still a cute video though, no matter what type the bug is.

  • @StephLippitt @KiteChaser - May I also add that technically it is not a Asian Beetle. In this instance you are most certainly wrong KiteChaser. The correct answer is An Asian Beetle. So close KitChaser, so close. thanks for coming out, and good night.

  • @StephLippitt And what is wrong with that. I'm sure he enjoyed the video like everybody else.

  • @StephLippitt Lmao your a smartass..

  • @StephLippitt Wow, you got really defensive over just a few words. Pretty sad. It's not like they called you a moron after or something. Get a grip.

  • @breakingthisdown And you just got really defensive over my response. Oh, irony! XD

  • @StephLippitt Really defensive? Not quite. Was just saying.

  • @StephLippitt @breakingthisdown .. I came for the fun of seeing a ladybug play with sprinkles, I stayed for the enjoyment of a (presumably) grown man named KiteChaser acting like a 12-yr-old-troll .. It was the best of times

  • @smokinpistolsposse Baiting trolls is fun, glad you're enjoying the action. XD. Stay tuned, I'm sure there will be many more troll-times to come!

  • @KiteChaser Yes, it is an Asian Beetle, or Harmonia axyridis, and they DON'T eat the native North American species of lady beetle, Hippodamia convergens. They eat aphids, mealybugs and mites. European species, Coccinella septempunctata have been brought over as well to help pecan and soybean farmers with Aphid problems. Harmonia axyridis (or the Harlequin ladybug) was introduced into North America from Asia in 1988 to control aphids.

  • @cbond99 Cool, thanks for the info. I thought they eat the common lady bug, but I guess their are still not good for the common lady bug, as they are direct competitors in regards to their food source. At least they don't eat them. They still bite humans though ;)

  • @KiteChaser wel fuck u

  • @cellmarss2 can't argue with that well revised argument - well done, get yourself and ice cream

  • @KiteChaser Why is everyone attacking the guy that said it's an Asian Beetle? He is right, and he wasn't insulting or anything. How the hell does he know it's been brought up a bunch of times before? I didn't know we should read every single comment before posting. Just because the uploader is an idiot and doesn't know his basic animals and is too arrogant to correct it doesn't mean you should attack KiteChaser.

  • @KiteChaser Hey genius, it's called a Harmonia Axyridis actually. Or more formally known as the Asian Lady Beetle.

  • @RMG4646 you know more than me, so who's the genius now? ;)

  • @KiteChaser half of the world doesnt care and will call these ladybugs bc thats the word we have been using for them since we were little kids

  • @xxdrkanglsxx I have to agree and admit that half the world (well, I know actually only a small percentage of one specific country to which this might apply - which doesn't really make it half the world, but anyway let's keep the peace) is displaying this ignorant attitude of ignoring facts and the refusal to improve their knowledge. Where would we be if Einstein, Newton, Edison, etc. would have had thought in that manner...?

  • This is pretty cool. Nature is the best.

Might be hard for some to appreciate the simplicity of this.

  • so cute...but why the hell is that bug so big???

  • Maybe it thinks theyer lavee (however you spell it) of some sort and its trying to smash em open :P ?

  • Gay..

  • @ButtomFACE this is not gay its cute!

  • @agent101glitterg1 It's not cute, you're cute. :)

  • The lady bugs like a kid in the balls at Mcdonalds lol cool vid

  • i would of stood on it .

  • 1:27 OM NOM NOM NOM! :D awwwwz ! :3

  • Thats both adorable and horrifying all at once. Ladybugs are evil. This evil ladybug just happens to have a sense of humor. That or its all hopped up on sugar

  • i want apet ladybug but i have a ladybug in my garden

  • the 27 dislikes are from the sprinkles :)

  • lol that is too funny :) you made my daughter's day, she is fascinated with ladybugs right now (she's two)

  • lol I want a pet ladybug now xD

  • It's like a Chuckee Cheese ball pit... for buggys.

  • ladybugs are vicious man

  • Anyone who dislikes a video of a ladybug playing with sprinkles has no soul.

  • @dmueller22 I agree!

  • Such a fun little guy to watch! :)

  • it'd be cool to get a few other ladybugs in there- then we could have Ladybug Soccer!!!!

  • I think he might have been trying to eat them, but still this video is super cute!

  • @itcanbecheezcaketime Not everyone is fucking David Lynch, you big shit.

  • @Massivemonkees I like the fact he needs visual reference to figure out the size of a ladybug...like he's panicking right now imagining it destroying hotels and cars and stuff

  • @Ivgraham and based on what they are intended to do, what you do intends them to do, therefore you play they play. Bee dance anyone, butterfly stare??? Wake the fuvk up, tis not a wonder so much is on the brink of extinction...Zzzz

  • @Ivgraham hey kingfisher go suck eggs. Couldn't care less if u got a degree in stick insect blowjobs. They play. Firstly what are your classifications of working dude? When your able to put forward an explanation of insect behaviors as working. In a scientific world in a scientific mind in a scientific way. Dream on

  • my minor in college was Entomology and I live on planet Earth. :-)

  • hungry hungry ladybugs

  • I liek sprinkles

  • AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • So cute! Sign him up for FIFA!

  • awww thats so cute!!! ^^

  • @Ivgraham....hey that real patronizing, based on research carried out by the IPU insects do play, in extreme weather conditions it has found insects perform really unusual behavior, that when investigated across the board suggested the only basis of their behaviour could be considered recreational. And the sucrose from these little balls is considered a recreational drug to ladybirds.

  • @ivesaidits400years You are a big nut, but in the grand scheme of things, I suppose it's harmless to imagine insects play -- insects are not thinkers though and are neither playful, nice, or evil. They all are little workers, doing what they were intended to do.

  • i'm going to capture a lady bug, hold it hostage till i get some sprinkles, and that little freak better play with them, DAMN THAT'S CUTE.

  • that's so funny! thank you for capturing this on video and sharing!!

you guys DO know insects don't play, right? the ladybug was after the sucrose in the sprinkles -- but the colorful round sprinkles eluding it like little soccer balls makes it look like a game. I'm making this a favorite!

  • @lvgraham how do you know they dont play?

are you in their heads? no...

  • thats hella cute

  • a ladybug's age having to do with its spots is actually a myth.. it just depends on the species

  • pretty old lady bug, no?

  • why is this lady bug doing this?

  • thats freaky!!

  • omg! that is the weirdest thing i have ever seen!!

  • that lady bug is gay

  • It's a FAKE REMOTE CONTROL ROBOT

  • How high were you???

  • @SwampyEK9 i saw this while i was high... and i cried

  • How high were you???

  • I will feel slightly worse about squishing you.

  • This is one of the many reasons I love tumblr. I get to view incrediblely amazing videos such as this one. So precious. :">
