  • It's interesting reading some of the complaints about sealing every joint. I don't know of any engineer who doesn't have joint sealing in his specifications that are right on his plans. If a contractor isn't building to the engineer's specifications they can be taken to court for contract violation and be forced to fix the problem or pay to have a competing contractor do it.

  • i am a sheet metal worker and i have not done a job in 13 years (thats how long i have been doing sheet metal ) where duct work doesnt get sealed with duct seal ! i have never used mastic but sealer is required and you wont pass a inspection with out it

  • lol overkill a little bit....this is residential junk noone seals anything unless theres metal missing haha who seals the crimp anyway....watta dumb video

  • @ganzablack if your not doing it yet just wait, local codes are starting to add this. so you will do it.

  • I work in this industry, and we build prisons and hospitals. We are expected to seal every joint, no matter were they are located. When you have to have every register velocity tested, you'd be pretty stupid not to! It's a nightmare to try to get a run passed, when you have to find the leaks and fix them to pass.

  • lol nobody does that now somebody sees this and demands it done like that what a bunch of bull

  • hahahaha @ using mastic to seal all seams and joints... this is some scab shit no doubt

  • haaaaaaaaaaaaaa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
