this actually worked. To avoid further confusion with this helpful, but very hard to understand, child. . . you basically just need to agree with a new set of terms from itunes. the apps will not open until you accept new terms. you can do this from the computer or the iproduct, it does not matter.

all you have to do, is double click the home button, and when all the apps pop up at the bottom, choose one, hold it down until the wiggle, and then press the red line thingies until they're all gone. it restarts the apps.
