  • pvz music ftw

  • My girlfriend is Czech, and gave my family some of those exact wafers last year!

  • Keeping things hidden and choosing what to reveal and when for me is the most skillful part of Pokemon. Predicting comes close with the mind games but a lot of it is just logical. Team building is fun but you can just copy other peoples teams and do fine. Once you learn Sets and Stats there isn't much left to Pokemon, especially as few people breed anymore. Its why I stay with 4th. Kudos to Hansolo for the excellent play of keeping his hand against his chest till he needed it.

  • Although Team Reveal brings certain tactical aspects to the metagame, imo it destroys the mobility of surprise and keep-away tactics like this Heatran showed.

  • I dig the PvZ music!

  • "Shuckle no Sleepy" should be the sub title of the next Star Wars and or Pokemon movie.

  • i think if i was in your position, i would have attacked azelf with tentacruel, which should do a decent chunk. even though cruel would be dead, you would be left with 1 bulky poke and 3 fast pokes to take on the rest of his team, with 1 mystery poke and rest below half health. also for speed ties, ambipom and fake out and shuffle around for more fake outs. But i guess in the end you had decent chance of winning...and sub heatran isn't really a late game poke...

  • Wtf i felt like you still had 3 pokes at the end and you lost? That was weird.

  • other people are right, u lost the upper hand when u fell on the defensive and 'weary' side. instead of taking the offensive. no really explanation in or around it, just my honest opinion. but i will say i would have done the same as u and lost....

but it is one hundred times easier for us to say that watching it hrs/days after it happened apposed to actually being u making the decision. which is i understand. and admit would have done the same.

  • thats why you need ur venusaur to know eq :/

  • YEAH HANNERS

  • Rock, Rock, Paper

  • should have left in your venusaur and keep hitting him so he didnt get a free sub then kill him with cc

  • @navilad he couldnt actually break the substitute(did you not see the CRIT). Xerx's was hoping he'd go for heat wave again to finish off venusaur, and either miss or just might have expected to live a heat wave with Ape due to resistance. Either way, switching to Ape was really his only option.

  • Just a note: if you had kept using Grass Knot until Venusaur died from burn you'd have won as he would've been sub-less and Infernape could've finished it.

  • @shadow5852 Nope, the first grass knot only broke the sub because of the crit.

  • when you're up by a lot, its usually better to go for the offensive (ape), so that way you can start trading guys, leaving you with a 1 vs nil or 2 vs nil victory

  • @l0ngj0ng Well sure for an offensive minded person. Suppose he had something that KO's Ape. Venasaur is going to be likely to survive a shot from something, and hopefully put it to sleep. I still have Ape left that way should it go wrong.

It was a 50/50 call. I picked one that I can personally justify more for, and he just happened to have not only the perfect thing to stop it, but it also perfectly happens to have been something that Ape woulda OHKO'd and just makes it look really bad.

  • Was venusaur part of that mono poison team that u had i think i remember u used him in a game, sucks thts u lost though bliss woulda been a big help in this game :p

  • i agree so much with your feelings on team preview. Keeping the right guy hidden could be so huge late game and really swing a battle back the other way. It also helps equalize the game in the sense that the guy with the superior team isn't guaranteed the win because he has no idea what guys are key to winning until later (and he might have foddered out not realizing his advantage)

Hopefully they remove it for 6th gen ;)

  • wow what a comeback

  • Lapenzke oplatky: Lapenz is a city in Czech Republic, and Oplatky means wafers. Lucky you have a sub who is from Czech XD

  • @JStehlik3 I figured there'd be at least ONE... lol

Well, by default you're the winner of the episode =P

Oh, and one of my next 2 roulettes has some more Czech chocolate to read. Those wafers were kinda good too ; )

  • Pooop

  • Did no one else notice the Plants vs. Zombies music? o_o Although I haven't looked through the other comments...

  • My mom bought the same freakin chocolates and I have no idea what the ingredients are and it bugs the crap out of me -___-

  • the box says chocolate wafers in czech. your welcome

  • It seems like sleeping moves aside from Spore just LOVE to miss when you use them.

  • Also, if this was 5'th gen that venusaur would've been likely to carry EQ... aw well. It's kinda funny to see a vid subscribed vid from Xerxes, and see a shuckle as one of the featured pokes. First thought was: "great, this is gonna be at least 20 min of pokemon" :P

  • Finally! Also, have my babies

  • you could have won if you just kept in your venasaur. ape could have killed heatran if he didnt have a sub out.

  • Team Preview = Lol. Learn to PBR / Concealment Clause like a gentleman, people.

Tentacruel would only outspeed Heatran if it still had its Scarf? Cruel is Base 100, and I can't imagine you'd drop the Speed below Timid Heatran if it's a Scarfer. (With Modest+31 IV, you'd need 172 Speed EVs to outspeed TimidTran.)

Props to him for winning under the veil of secrecy.

-Kooper, sad that Glenn didn't get to wield any Masamune this battle.

  • @KooperKoushiro Oh yeah good point, I woulda still outsped. I was just thinking "I r a wall, i b 2 slo"

  • keeper of the light!

  • Plants vs zombies <3

  • brains

  • Plants vs Zombies!!!!!

  • "I'm not going to die in one hit myself either."

Xerxes, as much as I love your vids, sometimes you have a tendency to make too many assumptions. Zapdos could have Thunder, which would OHKO Tenta. Or a crit T-bolt. You just never know.

  • @KillerKowalski7 If he crits, thats different. He could KO with a crit Shockwave perhaps, doesn't mean I'd fear it. I haven't exactly seen Thunder roaming around on Zapdos much. Remember this is 4th gen, there is no auto + perma weather around. I was pretty darn certain I'd survive and I ended up correct.

  • @KillerKowalski7 pokemon wifi-battles are lioterally just a bunch of assumptions,,

  • lol "Hook me up with Hope Solo"

  • Han shot first indeed.

  • PvZ FTW

  • *Reads title*

I've got a bad feeling about this.

  • can someone tell me what is a roulette battle or wutever it is?

  • @lighttrustx All pokemons are random

  • @lighttrustx your opponent gives you 6 numbers that correspond to the spots in your PC tha the pokemon are in. and you have to use the pokemon your opponent randomly picks using those numbers.

  • @lighttrustx A roulette battle is where you have a bunch of dudes in your PC, and you say 6 numbers out of however many pokes he has and he uses those 6 random pokes in a team. He does the same for you and you battle!

  • Zombies... ARE COOMING!

  • Hey Xerxes can you help me open this Gatorade I have a broken wrist so I can only use one arm x_x

    And I'm thirsty

  • @MissPielops Uhh, do you have a vice grip in the house? Latch it in with that, and then grab a big ole knife and stab a hole through the cap.

Or ring the doorbell and ask a neighbor.

Or turn the faucet on and drink water from the sink =/ lol

  • @mtgxerxes Thanks ^_^ I got it open eventually :p

  • One day that BP team will work for you... >.>

  • czech ftw

  • haha nice PvZ music there Xerxes =P

  • lol at PvZ music

  • IIRC, Glenn's BUSTED sweep (Sash, Sub up, +6/+6, Sucker Punch) was against Ice. Rain stopped RIGHT after you killed Zapdos. Dummy.

Hell of a game, way to give credit where it was due. I thought that trying to keep Venusaur much safer was very wrong. Venusaur had NO PROBLEM with Quuenie, I didn't understand why you let Tentacruel go.

  • @TheMaykarLocomotive I think those were two different Toxicroaks. Regardless, the Tenta was for Dragon.

  • @mtgxerxes But then she ended up being MVP of the whole tourney.

  • @TheMaykarLocomotive HE********* *Seppuku*

  • That's exactly why 4th gen is superior. Whatever "prediction" is added by team reveal is totally wasted by the inability to hide things. Keeping secrets is a big part of the game, and you can't do that when your guys are put on display.

  • It's good to lose every once in a while, xerxes, it builds character and proves you're still human...though it still sucks.

  • Wow that was close.

Didn't expect a loss considering how things were rolling for ya. Sure Azelf killed two pokes, but they didn't seem that important anyway.

Tentacruel was MVP, and its too bad you couldn't keep it alive, since Ape + tenta would've beaten that heatran.

Eh, stuff doesn't always go as planned.

  • ignore that for some reason i thought it took out the sub with one grass knot.... i fail haha

  • @dollabill1323 It did but that was because of the crit :P

  • why didnt you just keep using grass knot on heatran?

  • No rock paper scissors?... :(

  • 4th Gen :D

  • Plants vs Zombies ftw!

  • Gredo Totally shot first, however this was a great match, both made some very good moves/predicts, i love the rain dance/scarf-tenta combo, might use it myself xD

  • OKAY IM HAPPY, FAVOURITE COMMENTATER'S POSTED A NEW VID :D AND FELLOW FF FAN :D

  • Yay! my favorite battler <3

  • yesssssssssssssssssss

ain't no battle like a xerxes battle, cuz a xerxes battle don't stop...
