But, what I do know is that we spent about 2 months learning about both Thomas Jefferson, Constitution, Bill of Rights, & 10 Amendments, then were required to write an essay over that. I live in Texas, but I was taken out of public school and put into private school for behavioral problems, it was a catholic school though, but I can honestly say that when we learned about the founding of Texas and all that, there was a lot of negativity involved with it. I'm from Texas, I love Jesus Christ and I'm a Republican. Everything you say students are learning is false. I don't know who John Calvin. But, what I do know is that we spent about 2 months learning about both Thomas Jefferson, Constitution, Bill of Rights, & 10 Amendments, then were required to write an essay over that. I've never had to write an essay over conservative whatever of the 80s, etc etc. Sexuality IS covered as well. Pretty much everything you said was supposed to happen, didn't.

I read the bible, not study the people who interpret it. Calvinism was mentioned once, but not elaborated on, when we talked about Manifest Destiny. So I took it upon myself to look it up. From what I read, it is a theory or one man's take on the bible.

I agree the school system is shit, but the school system and Rick Perry, who I would agree is not the most favorable governor, should not be reason to blame all of texas for U.S. Problems that have not occurred yet and may never occur. I live in Texas, but I was taken out of public school and put into private school for behavioral problems, it was a catholic school though, but I can honestly say that when we learned about the founding of Texas and all that, there was a lot of negativity involved with it. And I seriously hope that what I'm learning now in History and in all of my classes is the truth and that i'm not being fed more lies. But Texas isn't that bad, and I never see people with cowboy hats, but I do see the boots
