The Greek history is amazing, this is a spiritual place, and you can feel it if you are open to it. The language, amazing...the water, crystal blue, unless the wind picks up with a stormy look...even the rocky beaches are lovely, much in the same way a desert is, different than "home" with white beach strands, but as a traveler, best to be open to where you are. <3 Santorini!

Ahhh! Sitting in a restaurant overlooking the Caldera is wonderful. Your video brought it all back. We stayed at Perissa, a lot cheaper there, and better restaurants to eat in. But Fira, Oia and Merovigli are awesome. We are off to Kefalonia this time round.

i always dreamt of going to santorini greece. I love the structure of the houses. Everything is connected, It shows such unity in the place. For me this is the most magnificent and beautiful place in the world.
And what about Reunion Island ? A good place to visit too =;°) My girlfriend n' me are just coming back from Santorini. That's a real romantic place, even if the roads a slippery (little moto crash... Souvenirs) I highly recommand Pension Georges near Fira, a quite, cheap nevertheless luxurious place to stay. Helen and Georges are so nice !

i might be going there, but i was wondering if i would get bored...what is there to do on santorini and what are the beaches like, can you like just run around and explore the town without getting really lost, im thinking of bringing a friend so i dont end up hunting for a tv or something, what is the sea like, is it clear and is there jellyfish and stuff in it ? :)

Flew over Santorini on my way back from Rhodes and fell in love with it from the plane window (if that's possible). Just looked intriguing. I will visit one day, hopefully (fingers crossed) this summer!
Go to Mykonos to stay up all night. Go to Santorini to be mesmerized. They are 2 different worlds that should not be compared. Even if our ship did sink after the first trip, it didn't stop me from going again 8 months later on my own. Your camera will LOVE this place. :)

first time I got the chance to see the island in this video, it made me breathless, that'a gorgeous island and the church's magficent, best chuch in the world which is a symbol as sea with the blue colour on the top.
I HIGHLY doubt I will ever see any place in the world as jaw-dropping as Santorini. After arriving at the top via cable car and turning around for the first time looking out over the water 1,000 feet below, I almost fell to my knees and started to weep at the sheer beauty. If this place doesn't affect you in one way or another, then you have no soul. :)
Santorini is a giant tourist trap and feels alot like Mexico with the fake atmosphere...not that great. The people are not very nice either and are cheap and rush you out the door. Try Mykonos in the low season...much better.

The video of Greece is extraordinary. My gosh, I have seen some really beautiful countries, but Greece is most breathe taking and BEAUTIFUL!!

And what about Reunion Island ? A good place to visit too =;°) My girlfriend n' me are just coming back from Santorini. That's a real romantic place, even if the roads a slippery (little moto crash... Souvenirs) I highly recommand Pension Georges near Fira, a quite, cheap nevertheless luxurious place to stay. Helen and Georges are so nice !

I was there in July... I had already watched some of the videos here inYoutube, but when you are there... that's amazing, incredible, unbelievable... I'm also from an island and right now I can say and assure that there is not any place more beautiful and amazing than Santorini.. Thanks for sharing the video... It reminds me of so many beautiful moments I spent there... Thanks a lot!!!

I know I really must go to this island. I bloody fell in love with it just flying over it! Me and my mate are supposed to be going away on a late cancellation in the next few days. He wants somewhere chavvy like Ibiza. I want Santorini. Oh god, one day I'll visit Santorini. I might be 90, but I'll go there! Looks beautiful.

i might be going there, but i was wondering if i would get bored...what is there to do on santorini and what are the beaches like, can you like just run around and explore the town without getting really lost, im thinking of bringing a friend so i dont end up hunting for a tv or something, what is the sea like, is it clear and is there jellyfish and stuff in it ? :)

Lucky! I love Greece and my grandpa was born in Jordan so I love it there also! Hey when you get back can you make a video of pics like this from Jordan? My grandpa would love that! I'd like to go to Egypt as well but I couldn't go into the pyramdis. I'm afraid of mummies! lol

Macedonia is greek. Ofcourse it is. Macedonia spoke greek, was greek, eat greek, even the logo on the macedonian flag was greek. Every evidence leads to macedonia being greek. Don't forget. greece had lots of citystates and regions. Thrace, Athena, Thebes, Sparta, Macedonia, Eritrea and hundreds more. They all fought eachother.
All greek. Macedonia was in every way greek. How can you expect to say it's not? Because now you speak a slavic language?

Flew over Santorini on my way back from Rhodes and fell in love with it from the plane window (if that's possible). Just looked intriguing. I will visit one day, hopefully (fingers crossed) this summer!

Go to Mykonos to stay up all night. Go to Santorini to be mesmerized. They are 2 different worlds that should not be compared. Even if our ship did sink after the first trip, it didn't stop me from going again 8 months later on my own. Your camera will LOVE this place. :)

Just check your local travel agency's.
That's what I did. They do offer great special packages, flight, accomodation...etc.
Try even expedia or priceline...

I HIGHLY doubt I will ever see any place in the world as jaw-dropping as Santorini. After arriving at the top via cable car and turning around for the first time looking out over the water 1,000 feet below, I almost fell to my knees and started to weep at the sheer beauty. If this place doesn't affect you in one way or another, then you have no soul. :)

Santorini is a giant tourist trap and feels alot like Mexico with the fake atmosphere...not that great. The people are not very nice either and are cheap and rush you out the door. Try Mykonos in the low season...much better.
