Regardless who plays the F*cking bass in this track its still great. Yes Mick Karn was a genius...does that mean any track every written by anyone out there if mick is not playing on it then its crap? Get a grip...well done kevin
What a disgrace! The other filmed vid shows more of Mick Karn's antics. This one is just a weak brew, as far as tea goes! Never thought Mick would agree to this clip.
You all seem a bit confused, my name is Kevin Powell, and I am most definately the bass player on the tube clips, and very proud to have worked with Midge, he is a lovely guy.I did his solo tour to promote THE GIFT. I also played on "Call of the wild" I agree I am no substitute for Mick Karn on this, but he is one of a kind.
If you are curious, the most recent thing I did was the Steve Coogan tour at the end of last year.
Kev, it's great to hear your experiences with one of the great legends of the 80's. Fantastic that Midge has at last decided to get back with Ultravox, whatever the motivation it's great news for the fans. As for 'Call Of The Wild', for me it's the best work by Midge and excellent that you had the chance to collaborate on this track.
Hey kev, your fretless bass sounds good to me. I was lucky enough to have mine made by the late great Ian Waller (wal) in 1985, is that a steinburg that you are playing?
Great playing Kevin! You have your own distinctive voice on the bass. I saw you with Midge on The Gift tour and was hugely impressed with your interpretations. High quality player mate, ignore the ignoramuses!!
My good God, as usual Midge is in utterly superb form with this, just so the ''master'' of everything he turn's his very skilled hands to!! God bless ya Midge mate.
I had utterly forgotten about this great song - just amazing to hear it again and mruresm8 Midge Ure is a really tremendous performer. Thanks dlusman for sharing this brill vid!!!
I Love this song! What a commentary on those who pose as rock stars with the latest fashion but no depth or talent behind them!

I just saw the strap pivot plate - its a Steinberger alright.
And you play it well. Hey ho you play it well!

Great playing Kev. Looks like an old Steinberger L2 you're playing, but its never on long enough for me to tell.
it doesnt look like a steinberger logo.

lo siento...pero sin Mick Karn no es lo mismo....

Loved that he dedicated the set to Phil Lynott. Another great frontman.
