...from cradle to their demise as a whole and individually they brought musical life to my soul...and for that I am eternally fortunate to recognize social genius- musically....
Excellent video whoever you are and a great tribute to George. I've always loved this song. It seems to get overlooked. It's as good as any of the other big Beatles numbers. God bless ya George. Can it really be 10 years?
Many thanks for sharing this video. As John (Lennon) said, ''George has both grace and humour and a weird kind of angry bitterness. George himself is no mystery, but the mystery inside George is immense. It's watching him uncover it all little by little that's so damn interesting''. George had an acute understanding of a much bigger picture of life. He certainly was never ''Stuck inside a Cloud''. Gods Speed our Dear Friend - You are in our hearts and minds forever.
Just watched this 10 Times and NEED the White Album BAD! A truely great work of art, song and video. Been thinking of that song "Turn off your mind Relax and float downstream" set to the movie The Fountain, but I am sure the RIAA would have a shit fit, after all, you can't even DESCRIBE a NFL game in FEE america.
Great work SOIT, a talent so few have on YT to cut and install emotions in song. Love the ending too. See my earliest shit if it isn't Blocked altogther.
in 78' ,8 feet up, swaying side to side in campertop above cab of a ford F100 truck down colorado mountian highway I'd listen to this song, in a complete dream state of shrooms and butterflies, and I was only 9.....
later, I'd learn to Tune out, drop OutCid, N Tune a Wine Les paul like Harrisons and rebel against society. Oh those EVIL BEATLES, with their MIND altering lyrics that made us think of LOVE when our Psycho Christian parents where inspecting our Hiney's for Ticks and Rubber Soul.TRUE
This song has always been a fav of mine. I always felt it was an off-beat mixture of styles typical of the times: a three-way cross between jazz waltz, folk song, and late sixties psychedelia.
I can't stop watching this, the imagery is so powerful. I'm serious, it brought tears to my eyes. Bravo SIG! You waited so long to blossom, but what a flower!
@beatleswithwords Thanks for your kind words. I tried to give it an original and contemporary slant. It took less time than I had imagined to put it all together!
My favorite George song....

I miss him so much too. But I think his mission is over. Then he planted many flowers. And now we can apreciate them whenever we want!

the rattle sound at the end is from a bottle of blue nun left on a speaker, which they decided to leave in, and Ringo joined in with some snare work.

There are a few albums from the rock era that I feel I've
been in a relationship with since the first day I got them.
"The Beatles" is one of those albums.
At age 17, I thought "Long, Long, Long" was a emotional powerhouse--and I still do.
