for every genre there is a film which dictates the rest of them and this is heat. Heat has changed action movies and made them much more realistic and sophisticated. the plots are better the action is coordinated and most importantly they aren't over the top like michael bay films.

whats weird is this song was originally supposed to be used for the end-credits, and that his "God Moving Over the Face of the Waters" was supposed to be used in this scene.

I am EXTREMELY HAPPY that Mann chose to use "God" at the end...it helped make it one of the BEST endings ever.

Terrifying, brilliant, mesmerizing. I loved the original by Joy Division, loved it. I love even more the Moby remix, one of the greatest cover jobs I think I ever heard. He totally kept the original Angst of the song, and actualised it with some über-hardcore electro. Get your hands on the song, it sounds huge when you play it loud.

Plus, it is in one of my very, very fav. movies of all times, and sets up the huge diner scene between DeNiro and Pacino.
