  • NOOOOO you asshole manhattan WTF?

  • nothing to buried in? That sucks... but atleast he died by the hands of his best friend.

  • Saddest moment in the film . almost made me tear .

  • He was my favorite character :(

  • NOOOOOOOO! Why!?!?! Damn you, Manhattan!

  • That has got to be....The most awesome way to die.

  • I really never understood this part. I mean, Manhattan says he must kill Rorschach to save humanity. But, he also heavily implies that humans will go to war anyway. And on top of THAT, Rorschach's notebook is discovered, leaking the truth to everyone. So what the hell was the point of killing him?

  • @ZBlayde I don't think that Manhattan knew about the notebook. Maybe if he had he might not have killed Rorschach, or at least disintegrated the notebook as well.

  • How do yu say his name anyway?! ror..? lolol

  • @TheConcreteIdea its said like raw shack but its spelt rorschach

  • He was Ginger. He had it coming.

  • @JakeBamber one badass one

  • The Novel was much better.

  • Is there a both button?

  • dont worry about roarschach's death people, cuz at the end of the series/film, his journal was discovered whcih implies humanity got the truth, so roarschach still won :)

  • @SuperMe4lyfe It's left ambiguous as to whether Rorschach's discovery will get out, or be believed if it does. Worse, all that might do negate the effect of Veidt's plan in bringing the nations together, meaning that all those people have died for nothing.

  • Why did Moore kill rorschach?

  • @CoRkSkr3w because now he is "more powerful than you can possibly imagine"

  • Ratigan versus Obama

  • @Znitso

You realize that it's mostly following the story in the comics right, they had to show his face, he does get caught in the comics.

  • The original graphic novel is one of THE most amazing works of literature.

However, considering the inherent nature and limitations of film making, I loved the movie as well. Especially the opening credits.

  • I hate this scene. I really liked Rorschach in this movie because he was so cool. This scene end where he gets caught by the police and they take his mask off.

His face shouldn't have been revealed...

  • And so falls one of the most bad ass Comic book characters ever.

  • Rorschach shouldn't have died. He is like the chuck Norris of dc.

  • @funpow5566 totally agree dude

  • I didn't like the movie. I think it failed to retranscribe the darkness and the thickness of the comic. I found it very poor.

Sin City of exemple is e very good adaptation.

  • @Cake7Eater best thing bout the movie was the casting and costumes: patrick wilson was PERFECT as that owl

  • @Cake7Eater

One good thing about the movie if nothing else is that it brought watchmen to the attention of people who otherwise would never have known about it. I loved the movie and because of it I'm seeking out not only the watchmen graphic novel but other works of Alan Moore, so it didnt fail completely.

  • they better make a sqeuel and bring him back, FFS!

  • @TheGravar they better not

  • @MrPizzaslice stfu

  • why r u guys standing on Rorschachs face!?

  • is taht iceman?

  • Rorschach had to be the best character in this movie, too bad he had to die.

  • @Psyckosalturnchannel The greatest always die

  • @Cherrypoppins18 Yeah... same goes for the Joker in Dark Knight.. OH WAIT

  • Right when I saw this the commercial on my tv said just do it

  • press 7

  • the blood looks like a skull

  • how does that mask work?

  • @Artencot

One layer of insulating cloth, two layers of ink and one more layer of insulating cloth... The insulators make a lava lamp like effect. It's explained in the comic book.

  • @khyea91 i never read the comic,but i played the game,i want a mask like that

  • @Artencot

IDK how they worded it tbh. That was the basic explanation. We should make these masks and sell them as authentic Rorschach masks. lol

  • blood angels in the snow! Cute! ;D

  • @TheBlueRose2008 actually the pattern is the same on rorschach's face when he takes it off and the actual shape is of dan and laurie kissing.

  • @jimbobhk2009 Oh wow! I always thought it was a butterfly .. >.>

But now that I look at it after I read your comment, it is them kissing! <3

I guess it looks like alot of things..lol

  • WHAT THE FUCK I SERIOUSLY NEVER WATCHED THE MOVIE BEFORE BUT LIKE REALLY HE WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE COOLEST CHARACTERS AND BOOM HE DES BULL FUCKING SHIT

  • @JoeTheBored you have to watch the whole thing

  • worst part of the hole movie

  • 77 People believe in protecting the new Utopia

  • Did anyone else find it weird that Nite Owl II said "NOOOO!" even though he didn't react or anything when Rorscharch said "what are you waiting for?"

  • @Glaruf Well, I assume that Nite Owl was actually in shock and therefore didn't quite understand what was going on. Rorschach knew the score, but I think Nite Owl really didn't (by the way, I am in no way suggesting that Nite Owl is a bad character). The other thing is that in the graphic novel, Nite Owl is so self-absorbed he doesn't even witness Rorschach's death - which is suppose to be his best friend. I preffered this ending because it showed that Dan actually gave a damn, which I liked.

  • @Glaruf He only said it loudly enough for John to hear.

Nite Owl probably only heard the "DO IT!" right at the end.

  • @Glaruf night owl didn't think he would do it

  • The blood splatter also takes the shape of Rorschach's signature. The two "R"s that form an ink blot.

  • Where Gods settle for damage control, only Rorschach knew what it meant to never compromise your ideals.

  • uhm yes he can change human nate just uh change a little codon in our genes ohhhhhhhhhhhh IDK maybe change cgt to idk acg and there you have a human that doesn't give shit oh wait a minute THATS YOU DOUCHE fuck you mr fuckface manhattan

  • i saw the first hour of the movie and i had to turn it off cuz i couldnt get into it. im not saying it was a bad movie im just saying it focused too much in the begining about the Camedian and i just couldnt finnish it

  • Guys, it's just a comic book, not the greatest novel ever written. Relax.

  • @Cajaquarius Have you read it? If you have you must be, like, twelve.

  • @Cajaquarius uhhh it is the greatest novel ever

  • @Cajaquarius

well actually Time magaine named it amongst the 100 greatest English language novels sine the 20th Century

so it's not just a comic book...

and yeah it's one of the greatest novels ever written

i'm guessing you havn't read it

  • Saddest part of the movie...

  • of course they kill the coolest dude

  • This movie completely butchered the graphic novel. Not only did they change a great deal of the original content but I thought a lot of the emotions were directed poorly. People shouldn't watch the movie, they should read the graphic novel. Even if reading isn't your "thing" visually its more exciting than the movie and you learn a great deal more about the characters.

  • @tdhtv i agree i read the novel before the movie and it was more fascinating than the movie.

  • Watchmen is a amazing movie and all of you who insult should go fuck themselves.

  • Fuck you, Dr. Manhattan.

  • They're not called the Watchmen people...

They were the Crime Busters & 2nd generation of the Crime Busters

If this turd movie called them the Watchmen that's another reason why it sucked.

"Watchmen" was taken from a speech by JFK.

  • @PumaSweat

    0/10

    Troll harder nigger.

  • @ConnieLynchitz Wow the day I get called a nigger by an Austrian white woman, is the day before the apocalypse starts. I have no Idea why youre jabbing at me & who said I was black?, Why are you being racist?

& if youre not being racist, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt because youre not from the USA, you have no true connection to the negativity of that word. I also know many white kids in the states think that

it's ok to use cuz it's in a rap song, well it isn't.

  • @PumaSweat

    tl;dr

    Double nigger

  • @PumaSweat Don't get butthurt. This movie is brilliant and I'm a fan of the comic too. Sorry there was no retarded ass squid and sorry no one appreciates the poetic and insightful value of this movie.

  • @MasteroChieftan Funny. I'm an adult man, I'm not going to play musical insults with you.

Why does the internet make it ok to attack people who have a different point of view than you?

I'd respect your opinion if you would have an intellegent conversation and not just attack me with youtube post. Like the previous person to respond to my post you are making assumptions about me, why do that?

  • @PumaSweat "turd movie" "another reason why it sucked"

Watchmen didn't suck and it sure isn't a turd movie. In fact, it makes most films look like garbage. Zack Snyder did a wonderful job of bringing the comic to life and the only reason this film gets a bad rap is because half the people that went to see it are the insatiable nerds who don't care what makes sense as long as something goes exactly with the comic book.

The insight into ethics and morality in this film is incredible.

  • @MasteroChieftan Well why are you taking out your frustration with "nerds" on me? I'm not "half the people"

I'm simply me with an opinion different than yours. And I couldn't disagree more. I never even explain why I didnt like Snyders direction. Thats why I said I wasnt going to play musical insults. Why debate taste?

It's obsurd! Now, If you want to discuss or explain opinions via personal message, Id listen.

But non specific debates about taste, dont work.

  • @PumaSweat this isn't a turd movie its a great movie

  • @MrPizzaslice Well I was very unimpressed by it and did not think the right director worked on it.

I didn't like the feel and don't think Zack Snyder really got it...

  • -u killed watcmen

    -u bastards

  • IWAS SO FREAKIN PISSED OFF WHEN I SAW THIS PART.

  • D:

  • "John can give you cancer."

"And He'll turn into a car!"

  • @sithmastur *wink* DING!

  • @sithmastur strung together

    united for ever

    theyre the best of friends

  • NOOOOOOOOOooooooo

  • that dudes penis is friggin blue gross

  • @multiemery Why do you mind exactly the color of the penis? His nose is blue, too, and hands etc.? Wouldn't it look funnier if the penis were bright red or neon yellow or something like that? Seems most natural to me that he should have made it same colour as the rest of his body :-) I would have done the same in his situation. :-D

  • His blood splatter is the last ink blot thats shown on his face before he takes the mask off.

  • @Brushhopp3r no shit sherlock

  • @AnIncognitoNinja Graphic novels arent mainstream enough for the general population to even consider your advice. the movie was well done and captured the feeling and essence of the graphic novel just fine. your just a faggot ass fanboy that cant accept the slight changes in content of the film.

  • @peter1x2 Thank you! Someone finally understands.

  • @peter1x2 what? i didnt give any advice, i was pointing out that he was stating the obvious . . .

  • @Brushhopp3r Well, what's funny about that is, in the commentary of Watchmen, Zack Snyder says that same thing and that it's suppose to be the "Embracing Couples" ink blot (the one that Rorschach looks at when he is arrested, and the ink blot makes him think of his mother - it is also on the sail of the raft in the Black Frieghter sequences)However, because Rorschach/ink blots are suppose to be interpretive, I actually see an angel in the snow as the final blot.Everyone sees something different

  • @Brushhopp3r a butterfly, or a skull

  • Believe it or not but you can see Rorschachs death coming. When you look at his journal and the way he expresses himself hes tired of living in a world full of filth, he wants out and in a way wants to die. Humanity sickened him to the point where he felt that death was the only way to be free of this world. He knew he could never clean up the streets and completely get rid of crime and so the harder he tried the bigger toll it took on him.

  • It's strange how many people on here haven't read the graphic novel. I would of loved to have read this in English class in high school. So full of symbolism. I could discuss it for hours.

  • BLUE MAN GROUP

  • He can always count on your friends.

  • I feel that Rorschach represents men as individuals, while Manhattan the Universe as a whole.

  • @artisticlatino07 What? Rorschach is Rorschach, a Fucking Avenger, Awesome! Jon (or Dr. Manhattan) Is God! (literally) I mean it, he can do anything :)!

  • How fragile life is... A move of the wrist and a man is dead... The pull of a finger and a man is dead...

    Are we all just maggots?

  • the best character in the movie, and he gets killed off :(

  • @Schmidteren not in the movie but in the graphic novel!

  • @corcuss

then its a bad end for the comic

why the heck is he killing the fucking best character of the whole movie??

  • @Hartandgood Damn stop referring to WM as the movie, the fucking graphic novel is awesome, when you read the novel you find out how little this movie gives you, its like some kind of "attempt" of summary of the novel, and its not a band ending ¬¬ its a masterpiece, Alan Moore said it himself, NOBODY saw Rorschach s death coming, but he just was to stubborn, he wouldn't compromise (not even in the face of Armageddon) so he had to die in order to maintain peace! ( but yes its sad even though)...

  • why does dr manhattan killl rorschach??

thats a bad end for this great movie

  • @Hartandgood It's the end of Watchmen (comic)

  • @Hartandgood Cause since rorschach has to tell the world about what happened Manhattan can't let him do that because it would jeopardize the peace of the world Oz created. Since rorschach knows that this would've happened he sent in his journal of all the events that have occurred beforehand to the newspaper. Rorschach was ok with dying because he knows that his story will reach the public anyways.

  • @Kwang7897 no he didn't xD , he experted to (maybe) die by Ozymandias, and he was just hopping anyone would get to read it, thats why he left it on the news editorial building, and he wasn't ok dying because he knew his story would be published, he just Totally preferred to die, than having to compromise, he knew it wasn't good to lie even if that brought peace, he saw things in just 2 ways, either good or bad! not gray, nothing in between!

  • @Hartandgood 1) wanna see something great? MY BALLS! 2)The movie is nothing compared to the novel 3) It wasn't the endings fault that this movie sucked! its because there wasn't enough time to tell the whole thing, pleas read the novel, and then you will totally understand!

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg

Alan Moore never intended nor wanted it to be a film. On purpose he made set pieces unfilmable in his Graphic Novels to let people see what could be achieved in the comic's medium.

  • @atomicbreaker not unpurpose anyway, and of course he didn't wanted it to be filmed he didn't wanted the motion picture not even the graphic Novel, it was gibbons who sold part of the rights.. (but with the graphic novel well he though it could be cool and took the opportunity to ad extra material to the book) but he liked his master piece just the way it was and the movie disrespected him to much!

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg

After The league of Extraordinarily Gentleman came out I think there was a massive argument over copyright with one of Hollywood's directors. So after that he had enough and requested that he didn't want any film adaptations to be associated with him and all the Money from the films would go to the artists. That is why I respect Alan Moore, because he respects his own creations and does not sell out over his own successes. That's very rare.

  • @atomicbreaker Yess!! finally someone who gets what I'm talking about, yeah I feel (and know) the same... so, I dont even remember why we're arguing, anyways... the movie isn't really bad, nor the director, its just a bunch of incomplete stuff, and what pissed me more is that they even made up dialogs and scenes, and so I believe that, if the movie was good, its because it had foundations on Watchmen not because it sticked to it...

  • he is not died

  • @TheZaid600 That's Rorschach, not Deadpool.

  • dr manhattan can destroy things and recreate himself... but he cant create another life

  • @anonymous133711 Didn't he say in the end that he was going to create new life?

  • @Stickygod new life for humanity... but not literal new life

  • @MrSVEtv

Then your tattoo is funny because Rorschach's clothes are actually the Super Hero The Question but with scribbles on his face. Rorschach's creator said he drew his fave hero: The Question, (same clothes and all) but scribled on his face. TADA!

Good writing made him a good concept. Your tattoo is ACTUALLY of The Question. One of the dumbest hero concepts in all of time.

(DC fans can defend anything, so for those that like the Q, so do my friends. He's just ez to draw.)

  • Hated when he killed him

  • @Gamez1985 yea but watchmen & batman r sort of on equal footing with each other I mean they could of based nite-owl on batman or vice versa.

  • Too bad this movie made little sense and was fairly unentertaining as well.

The characters and books can get quite great. If I had seen this movie FIRST, I would hate the Watchmen.

  • @bahcacatule I'm 14 yrs old this films a bloody 18 and I probably know more bout this than u so if u think nite-owls batman learn ur superheroes but I can't blame u 4 making that mistake I mean they're both dc so....

  • @SegaPokePals way to take a comment out of context.

  • @SegaPokePals

No one mistakes Owl for Batman because it's both DC. They do it because it's a crappy character who looks like an obvious rip off. (The Owlman that is in Batman's stories is kick ass though.)

  • who's the failed batman?

  • its Nite owl

  • Probably the best prolific scene in the movie than the Comedian shooting the pregnant vietnamese woman. The fact one of the Heroes kills another Hero to keep their secret.

Best was Adrian murdering millions yet still is a hero when really he is the greatest villian they have

  • @CavemanJesus4Life

This scene only gets your attention. There's no REASON for it. He had NO REASON to die. He couldnt have even done anything to affect that blue guys powers or the situation. This was written badly with badass dark effects. It's a sickly thrill ride with no good writing that is only there to assault the senses. (Because we generally like having that happen. It's awesome.)

Good movies do more than LOOK good. They makes lotsa sense sometimes TOO.

  • @Gamez1985 He killed him because Rorschach believed in truth, no matter the cost. Rorschach planned to tell the truth about the explosion Veidt had created in order to stop the wars, which would have effectively made the deaths of all those who died meaningless and made the wargames resume. Dr. Manhattan did what was neccessary to prevent world war. I love Rorschach, but honestly, i would have killed him too. This story is much deeper than you think. I suggest you watch it again.

  • @randomibe

Eh, I was going to email you this directly because sometimes continuing a single point for too long makes people think you're trolling. So just so you know, I'm not. I just thought thought your reply was smart and deserved reciprocation.

In the comics Rorschach's notes get printed in the PUBLIC NEWSPAPER anyway. So he died for nothing. And though you can argue Jon didn't know that, JON WAS SUPER SMART AND SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT the masses wouldnt have changed what they were doing.

  • @Gamez1985

ergo Rorschach died for nothing. Although one of the original creators of the characters before DC screwed him, said that David Haytors script for the film was the closest he could get to a film. (He also said they shouldnt have tried because it was MEANT for comics.)

P.S. David is the voice of Solid snake. So Solid Snake wrote The Watchmen movie. It's even cooler to you now, isn't it? (Dave's my hero but I dont like the movie.)

  • @randomibe I thought Veidt spent time getting the creature to look extra-terrestial so that when it blew up and killed all those people that humanity would believe that there was a alien threat and unite together for a common cause? Also, that the creator originally was going to have Rorschach live, but realized near the end that isn't what Rorschach would have done as a character, so he had him killed.

  • "I can change almost anything, but I can't change human nature." That is so sad... and so fucking TRUE.

  • the only thing i didnt like about this movie is that it wasnt fair. I mean come on, how the blind fuck is Dr.Manhatten gonna have those powers? Now, I am religous, but thats not the reason why i think no human should have those powers. I mean hes a freakin god!?!? Etleast give him a weakness or somethin. I want a movie with an action hero that is as realistic as can be, and he also uses guns. (but not the comedian)

  • @IStartedroflcakes and also, wtf is up with the nite owl, who the fuck lets some guy with fighting skills and a ship try to save humanity? because that means that i could go join UFC/MMA and dress up ass an owl and then when some douchbag trys to destroy the earth i can go fight him. Jesus.

  • @IStartedroflcakes Well, that was sortof the point. He had so much power and nothing to ground him, so he couldn't relate to people anymore. What would happen to Superman if he had no friends, no family, no strong moral background?

  • @IStartedroflcakes he does have a weakness. In fact, he as many. Watch the movie again.

  • If Doc Manhattan can blow someone up by looking at him, why didn't he do that to Ozzy. He had a lot of chances, but I guess dramatically smashing the ceiling was more his style.

  • killled all reason for me to watch a sequal in this scene, well except to see silk spectre in that sexy suit of hers:)

  • @DarkRambo134 good god silk spectre is a fucking babe.

  • wait i thought that rorschach is the villian why is the batman like dude sad

  • @0Peanutbutterjelly Rorschach wasnt the villian, what happened was they werent going to tell anybody what happened, except for rorschach who was going to tell people. he was a good guy and was a friend of night owls(the batman like dude).

  • Comment removed

  • @0Peanutbutterjelly cuz rorschach and he were bff

  • LOL. does this makes a difference. its only 1:51 mins of the movie , wtf ?

  • because in this movie Dr Manhattan is a worthless douchebag, there was really no reason for him to even stop Rorshach much more kill him. and all the others are pieces of shit, not even cursing the name of Manhattan and acting like everything is fine, hell the dumb bitch even made out with manhattan at the end. They should have killed Adrian and then told Smurf boi that they didnt need him or mr limpy and to get off their planet.

  • The only thing that bugs me about this scene is the way Manhattan kills Rorschach. If he's got all these powers couldn't he have killed Rorschach in a less graphic way? Like, just stopping his heart or something, why'd he have to go and blow him up?

  • @wierdWaldo Well I think it's a way to show how disconnect with his human nature Manhattan is.

  • @wierdWaldo Why not?

  • @wierdWaldo

Manhattan could have killed him in a less graphic way. But from his perspective, why bother? This was probably the easiest way because it involved little precision.

Manhattan doesnt care about whether things shock other people. He is very disconnected from other people and thus makes no effort to prevent them from seeing something horrific.

  • Strong Together

    United Forever

    Their the best of friends

    but when trouble's about!

    You'd best watch out!

    FOR THE WATCHMEN!!

  • What's the music through all of this clip?

  • My expression was the same as Nightowl after Rorschach died !!

  • 1:34 :D I bet Manhattan did that on purpose lol

  • I don't see why Niteowl was so upset about this psychopath dying.

  • @stigler30 because they were friends and rorschach is the man

  • @mythsmasher But he was a far right psychopath who was heading out to destroy the world.

  • @mythsmasher And how can you call him "the man" after how despicable he is? maybe "The Man" from his extreme black and white right wing stance on everything.

  • @stigler30 First off, rorschach is not trying to destroy the world. He's only intention is to save it, and he's the man because he refuses to compromise even in the face of armageddon. His methods are quite unorthodox i'll agree, but it's only because he can't stand the scum of the underworld so he does whatever he feels is necessary to do the right thing. He's an "end's justify the means" kind of guy. I'll reference the prison scene, Rorschach put all those people away, and that's a good thing.

  • @mythsmasher Letting millions die in vain and letting World War Three happen is the ends justify the means? Unorthodox methods you say? more like ultraorthadox.

Ozymandias actions are the ends justify the means, kill a few million to save billions and ensure a great future for the world. Right wingers never get it.

  • @stigler30 Rorschach did what he did because of his uncompromising characteristics. What Veidt did was logical, but it was also evil and sacrificed millions. I understand WHY he did it, but it doesn't seem unreasonable that Rorschach would want people to know the truth. And if you watch the end of the movie, he does get the message out through his journal.

  • @stigler30 Ultraorthadox....great line man

I like the saying "Kill one and you're a murderer, kill thousands and you're a hero"

    Cheers

  • @CavemanJesus4Life

Having murdered a single person doesn't make you a "murderer." It has to have been on purpose and either you are planning on doing it again or have already. MurderER denotes a person who performs the action, and generally more than once.

Accidentally killing someone might make you call yourself a murderer, but people don't have to be afraid that you are secretly Jason Voorhees. And a serial killer is someone who does it up to a certain number, not exactly the same term.

  • @Gamez1985 Well thats true killing 1 person doesnt make you a murderer unless it was what you(he/she, they/them/it whoever) intended to do in the first place. Even if it was one victim that still counts as being called a murderer because it was intentional. Its an old saying and some twisted proverb "Kill one-You're a murderer, Kill Thousands=You're a hero/conquerer" etc.

Same would be as a joke, build a thousand bridges, and suck 1 dick=You're not a bridge builder.......you'rea cocksucker
