The first time I just shot the Russian dude because I knew I had to, but the second time I played I noticed him shoot Gaz and I used a full Mag on his head as fast as my finger could go.

I loved the way you took out the guard on the left, then the one on the right, then just unloaded on Zakhaev. It really made it seem like you were giving that freakin' guy what he deserved.

Price lived - in the Xfire developer chat w/ CoD4 devs. they said he is reintroduced in the Epilogue mission; however, this requires staying for the credits to witness. The voice actor of Gaz was also reused in the Epilogue mission, if it makes you feel any better, so you can pretend Gaz lived. Though, he was rather clearly executed. Soap (you) goes on, and leads his own squad into the Plane (epilogue) mission.

Actually ALL Marines within a 10 Mile Radius or so we're killed by the Blast. However, at the beginning of Shock and Awe, half of the Platoon was unloaded with (Presumably) SSG Griggs, so Griggs (Presumably) survived by getting on a Transport out of there when there was still time.
