The hospital episode in the anime was damn hilarious. I don't doubt the fact that Akabane knows how to make apple bunnies. "Open up and say 'a-aaaaaah~'."
My favorite collection of scenes..EPIC!!! BTW, does anybody know what Ginji says at 4:38? I have never been able to make it out, it sounds like he's saying "melons"?

I had no complaints about the dub voice actors. I actually quite enjoyed Ginji and Akabane. And you totally picked the best parts for this, great choices.
I do have to say though, compared to some of todays dubs, Getbackers was done quite well.
I love Akabane, and his dub is awesome, I kind of pictured Ginji voice higher pitched, (is that Krillin?). Bans voice is okay, kind of soft spoken, and the androgenous guys voice is too...not androgenous.
Regarding the dub... I do have to say Akabane's VA was probably the best one of the bunch. Ginji took a while, but he turned out all right.
But everyone else wasn't good. No just no. Though I suppose the blame really belongs not to the VA, but to the ADR director. Having the right or wrong director can really make or break a dub: the Dissidia Final Fantasy on PSP attests to this: the ADR director didn't understand Kuja at all and thus a fine VA gave a bad performance.
@AICW Interesting that you'd mention Dissidia--notably Kuja; I think his English VA did a better job in 013 than 012, but then, hearing him from Akira Ishida automatically loses out, haha. [I'm fascinated you commented on a GB vid as well as DFF.]
Same for Akabane's VA vs. Nobuo Tobita. The script is good though, for the character of Akabane, so I got used it, like for Ginji, too. I agree, the rest of the cast voices were no where near up to snuff, but the script is funnier by comparison.
