@CarbonatedBeverage This area was used when Ryo and Nozomi ride the bike back from the harbor. I remember watching the cut scene with the bike, I never wanted the game to end, thankfully there was a few more hours after that part.

I think this the location and backdrop for the motorbike cut scene towards the end of the game, where you're riding the bike with Nazomi on the back. So it is used, but only in that cut scene. The music on this video is also the music that plays in that scene.

I actually had a dream about this today, this video inspires me so much, Its seriously unfair in a way how all this data is explorable on the disk yet we're forever forbidden to explore it. I've actually seen a vid just like this of rhy exploring the harbour and to my shock, Its actualy 3x bigger than what we get to explore!?

The Wii far from sucks, and as a fan of Shenmue and one of the first people to play it when it was released I think the Wii would be a great option for Shenmue, especially with the control system we're talkin about.

And by the way, The Wii has outsold PS3 and XBOX-360. Not only that but the others are now trying to copy the motion sensitive gameplay technology..

Well the Dreamcast in my opinion has better graphics then the Wii so basically the Wii is what the Dreamcast was. No one wants their games on a Wii, it's not flattering for the game designers.

the dreamcast had a teqneque for displaying only the grafics that could be seen at the time so it appeard better than it was so yes it looked light years ahead but it was just saturn gameplay with watchable pictures shenmue was a saturn game and benifited from a better computer to run on so if this was remade again would you be happy and what about shenmue online would of of liked that rubbish from the game designers?

I would love a Shenmue remake, but on Xbox 360 and PS3 so it would have good graphics and gameplay. Wii wouldn't be able to handle it and also Wii isn't for hardcore games and Shenmue is hardcore. Also don't know what you ment about Shenmue Online.

The Wii would be able to handle Shenmue, The Sega Dreamcast was more powerfull the the ps2, Shenmue on ps2 is sometng that isent even praticable, but the Wii, it would handle it, the Wii isent has weak has it looks, im a hardcore Sega fan, but i know how powefull the other systems are, the Wii is more casual, but has its good games to, i tink Shenmue 3 should came out on a Sega System, on other systems it would not be the same, but if they do the game, the Wii,360,ps3 are good choises

Well some games don't get a sequel for 20 years or so, so never say never.....

If Shenmue 3 came out on the current consoles or the next gen consoles (PS4 etc.), it'd cost a fortune to develop and publish. I wouldn't be bothered if SEGA released it looking like 1 and 2 (outdated) to keep development cost down. Shenmue 2 still looks great and is still playable if not a little slow at times. I think one day, Shenmue 3 will come.

A SEGA greatest hits series would be quite nice. In this example, they could sell 1 & 2 again (with the disks, you could include a seperate video disk of the Making of Shenmue, and other nice features). And you're right, the could develop the rest of the story using the same earlier technology to save on cost and make a huge profit. What a waste for SEGA to simply dump something that cost so much money to develop. They should at least see the project to the end.

I played the first one when my cousin had it as a kid and i liked it but didn't play the second one till a year or two ago and i loved it and was crying by the end because i knew it was the end, and i would never know how it ended. Back when I was hooked on it , I'd bought mainly VMU's just so I didn't have to wipe the older files, and I still have them all..! Now I need more VMU's.. lmao.

Yea it is, which is probably why nothing happens when you go around the area... Probably a glitch allowing you to access it. Happens all the time in games
