  • oh the good ol' days when all you needed was a 5spot ;) a beer and a ride to a payphone or land-line since there was no caller i.d. and mama just wanted to "make sure".... haha

  • The "players" made that band.....still to this day what my fb friends say........sigh. Glad they had FUN!

  • Good stuff. Grew up in Redmond, WA when these guys came on the scene. Remember seeing them play at some roller rink or something in like '83. Back then it was all about Culprit, Queensrych, Dio, and Motley Crue.

  • That culpritlives site doesn't exist, not anymore at least.

Yeah, I liked their shows. Saw them at Lynnwood Roll-A-Way in '84 or '85..?

Had the album too, I thought they'd make it like Queensryche did, probably could have if, like you say, "better business decisions.."

Great to see them and other people that remember them

  • Jeff was a good singer but the weed perhaps didn't help as he had a high range, etc. No dude, Culprit wasn't a 'front' to sell weed - though some may have been sold.

  • I think "Players" was on Shrapnel Record's U.S. Metal 1 compilation along with Wild Dogs "The Tonight Show", "Waiting" from LeMans, and Ynqwie's band Steeler to name a few. Lots of notes and lots of angst. Good times!

  • Lake Hills roller rink and Craig Crook seem like soooo long ago..Great memories.

Hope you guys aren't still blasting that stupid siren for 20 f'n minutes anymore..LOL

  • like i've said...it was the best show in wacken that year!!!!!!!

  • I'm an Eastsider and saw these guy alot in the 80's. Good song writing, but the singer just didn't have a good enough voice.

  • The I.R.S. should take a look at them.

They grew lots of pot and cleverly put a band together to sell weed at their shows. I know.

  • I like this, but I met the bass player a few times, and scott..think thats the name...was always such a jerk that he kind of ruined it for us, you know, none of us could stand it anymore.

But this is a good song. Are they still around?

  • I lived in Seattle back then and got to see them in clubs a few times - what a great time for metal.

  • Always loved Culprit.

  • too much excess of the life style and bad bussiness decisions were there down fall. I have known Jeff & Johny for a great many years, Thx for the memories and great music, thx for the video which forever will imortalize this band... that and the crossroads roller rink(first time I saw em)

  • I wish these guys could go back in time, start all over, and make more albums! They were incredible. I'm not sure what happened, but would have loved to see more from them.

  • lol my dad was basically part of this band

  • Long Live Culprit!!!

  • I love this band, unfortunetly...NO PLAY..

  • oh hell yah !

  • I was granted access through the gates of Heavy Metal back in 83 with Two albums; Culprit's "Guilty as Charged", Scorpoins "Tokto Tapes", and a ten dollare bag of weed....From there it's all been a blur..
