  • amaziiiiiiing!

  • =D

  • well done Sir

  • Well done! :)

  • I love your playing. You have added quite extra melodies notes to the tune and really jazz up the music. Keep up the good work

  • youtube .com/watch?v=MbqHuTZ_91Q i LIKE mines better. good luck!

  • search nicolas and the iceni narrow road. they write beautiful folk music which has echoes of denny and drake.

  • hey is fingerstyle and finger picking the same?

  • @Ericman2043 yes, I think fingerstyle has a bit higher coolness factor-- you pick your nose and you style your hair...

  • @bsondahl no... finger picking is where each finger picks a note, sometimes simultaneously. it looks like the same has fingerstyle

  • @Ericman2043 finger style is similar but usually with a pick. finger picking is witht he fingers

  • sweet

  • ahhhh thats realy nice loved listening to it

    thanks

  • i love it

  • Great sound.

  • Daddy likes!

  • somehow it sounds really sad.

    However, beautiful arangement

  • oh to live in a cosy little cabin, strummin' at strings...forever

  • Nice style!

  • Bravo!

  • even looks like someone who would play this song lol :), very nicely done!

  • Superb job Mate. One question... Noose lookin' thing to yer right Shoulder?

  • check my video for the epic beowulf remix

  • You did a really lovely job!

  • pritty amazing

  • Bellissima complimenti!!!

  • It is slower than that. It is a love song.

"Alas, my love you do me wrong to cast me off discourteously. For I have loved you well and long delighting in your company". Tudor era.

  • tabs!!!!=]

  • @maddawgzzzz ain't gots no tabs

  • @maddawgzzzz

You can find tons of tabs for this wonderful tune on the web ;-)

It's then possible to figure out this version with a bit of trial and error,

    once you know the basics.

  • i love this song. and really god performed nice work ..

  • @shittyclothing56 well the gitfiddle I'd reluctantly let go for a c-note ,hundred bucks, the banjer for 350.00 ,both are in super shape for the age.the guitar was made in 64'.the banjo was made in the 60's as well. lemme know,as I said ebay can kiss it,no news papers either. peace...

  • MUY BUENA CANCION...

  • I like how you made kind of a country type version. good playing.

  • hmmm... nice

  • very good performance!

  • Thank you for this moment of pleasure

  • Ok no problem mate ,thought I'd ask.Peace

  • @bsondahl lovely playing mate, incidently I have a taregga classical f=112 distributed by fender made in sweden 4-sale as well as an Orlando 5 string banjo amde in the 40's both excellent condition. I nearly cut off my right hand so I don't play anymore...sigh... I'd like these to go to someone who will enjoy playing them as much as I did.Let me know if you are interested. I don't want to put these on ebay or some news paper. If you know someone who'd like them hit me back.guitar was made in 63'

  • Nice offer, but I don't play either a classical guitar or 5 string banjo.

  • jadore

  • you play very well but the sound of your cam its poor :'(.

  • I posted an improved sound version called Greensleeves2 which you should be able to find by searching for it and Sondahl

  • i love it! :)

  • what kind of guitar is that? the sound is amazing I've been looking all over for something that could sound so sweet and clear. what kinds of wood is it made of?

  • I play a 1965 Martin 00-18. It's a spruce top with rosewood sides and back.

  • it;s called an acoustic guitar. but the cam makes the sound quality bad which might make it sound more beautifull in your ears;P

  • r u holding the chip or r u doing it with ur fingers

  • fingerstyle implies playing with fingers. I've never used a flat pick, nor clip on type fingerpicks, just finger nails and callouses.

  • omg.. you leave your little finger laying on the guitar, that's... why that? Is it a different style of playing or did you learn this way for your own?

    Also, a great music. Congratulations

  • I learned folk style, my own style. A lot of folk fingerpickers use a finger rest (I think called posting) to keep the hand securely in place above the strings. I guess you're classically trained if you think that's a no no, although I imagine some folk teachers discourage it as well..

  • @bsondahl with the electric guitar i also lay my little finger to rest. but that has a different reason. it keeps the hand in place and in that position you are able to very fast dampen the strings so the sound will be gone. it's a technique used in quite a few different riffs and songs.

  • Is your recording studio in the closet?? See shirts hangin' in background???You gotta come out the closet (literally)and hit the stage dude !!! Beautiful Version !!! Peace Be with You

  • Thanks. It's complicated. It used to be the closet was just part of our living space. Now it's historical, and gone, for that matter, since I live in a different place. I perform publicly about once a month, mostly free gigs.

  • does anybody have like a tab to that or no. Oh and by the way that was amazing i wish i could play guitar that good!

  • good job man!!

  • Thanks for this, and keep up the good work. Mark Hansen has this song in his fingerstyle books and did a superb job of arrangement. You might be interested in that...

  • I don't read any form of tablature, and only do my own arrangements, but thanks for the thought.

  • Yeah I like the style as well. Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays.

  • A little tip, try it on a nylon string guitar, and try playing the notes more legato.(Connected)

  • that was great.. (anyone notice the chair move?) haha.. but seriously the cahir freaked me out at first.. but tramendous job on the song i must say..

  • wat chair?

  • Smooth.

  • Nice Song...

    But I have one question:

Is that a rogue in the background??

  • Not sure what a rogue is--some people thought it was a hangman noose, but it was just a loop used to pull the chain for the light fixture.

    Brad

  • oh sorry...I'm German and i didn't know the right word, and the online translator said rogue;-)

  • So nice! I love your way to play it

  • If only you'd sang along with it...

    It was awesome. :)

  • Wow, Brad. Thats another song that i like and u played it well. Ur great....!!

  • Wow. that was great. i've never heard this song before until now. and my music teacher is making me play it at my school's christmas show (A HUGE crowd!!!!) in only a week! yikes!!! I'm something of our school's very own "rock star" lol.... that was a very good instrumental of greensleeves. in the beginning you went a tad bit fast, but it isn't very noticable and what a great version ! great job!

  • :) Wow.. Your Really good (y)

Do You think You Could Try And Write a Tab For It?

    Thats Awsome xD Well done

  • oh,thats nice!!!!

  • Do you have a tab for this? I can play greensleeves (the first song I ever taught myself actually) but it is a simple version. I would love something more complex.

  • Simply Amazing... Great Version

  • Good music and performance! Thanks Afik1945 for sharing.

    5*!!!

    Hugs. Maria Inês.

  • Hello Sir, and greetings from New Zealand. That is beautifal playing. I myself am mainly into Thrash Metal, but have a huge appreciation for folk, classical, blues, etc. I do so aspire to be able to play as well as you one day, and I know I will with alot of dedication and practice. Thank you very much for the inspiration. Paul.

  • That's a rare compliment, as it's a piece of musical distance between me and Thrash metal...

    Brad

  • Very true Sir. Although I will say you may be highly suprised to know that there are some pretty talented Thrash Guitarists out there as well. "Crystal Ann" by Annihilator is one piece of music you may quite enjoy. It's easily found on YouTube. Jeff Waters was trained in Classical guitar before he formed Annihilator. I'd be very keen to hear your opinion. Cheers.

  • wow xeno, your polite! and you have good musical taste. *builds you a statue* (i don't live in greece, but i like that idiom, it means i will respect you)

  • Thats how we, metal heads are :)

  • no m gusta la version...

  • Excellent - another master of guitare. If only I could take lessons from this gentleman ;-)

Keep on playing Brad, you're good :-)

  • Omg! u are simple amazing!

u almost made me cry. :(

    haha. Keep Playin' *-*

    but yours is that great!

    i love it x3

  • to my favos^^

  • UI love this very ancient melody ! Good work !

  • i like how you keep it more like a folk song and less like a christmas song!! listening to you play let's me imagine i'm in a giant grassy field of some amazing place on earth, like italy or new zealand

  • Fabulous Martin by the way.

  • This sir was outstanding.

I 'keyed-in' Green Sleaves because I remembered it as a child in music class.

Yours was the fist one I chose to hear and after listening to this I went no further.

This fufilled my Green Sleave needs.

    Again,excellent work. Thanks for sharing.

  • You're my hero, you're an amazing guitarist, and I also want to grow a beard like you.

  • Awesome.

  • You're Amazing, by the way on your site where it says "I'm not sure when I got dyed blue" I'm pretty sure that someone mistook you for the man who's skin turned blue from what he did to his water

  • AMAZING!! :3

  • wow..sir thats really good =)
