New metallica/lou reed is giving this some competition, but this is still the worst song of all time. And I love the comments about how the meaning of this song is good.
this video is fucking hilarious. I was just enjoying the background sounds and pretending the singer was a tribesman singing at the campfire with a wooden instrument with 2 strings.
What's beatboxing if not music made using consonants?
I wonder if it made them feel good to point out peoples supposed narrow mindedness. Why not enlighten them instead? Which I would bet is exactly what they are claiming to do, but if these 'closed minded' people will only reject this kind of 'music' due to their closed mindedness we will not ever get anywhere will we? This kind of political 'music' will only ever boost egos of those who are already 'open minded' if you want to call it that.
@pharaohoftheincubi maybe they dont want to enlighten other people, their simply pointing out the fact that other people are close minded when it comes to music. Im not saying i would listen to this music all the time, all im saying is: i got the message. i understand it. ive moved on.
@ThisScopesForYou but its not like they just pointed it out while in conversation... they wrote a whole "song" about it. thats a fair bit of effort to go to. was it released on an album? if so, they clearly wanted people to take note of their observation. so i am questioning why they made that effort... why did they want people to take note? reread what I wrote first, in there is the conclution i came to about it.
@ThisScopesForYou what im saying is, WHY would they want to simply point that out? its not like they just said this in coversation, or on a comment on youtube lol. They wrote a whole "song" about it. was it released on an album? if so, then they clearly want people to take notice of their observation. reread what I first wrote, my conclution to all this is in there.
@pharaohoftheincubi they didnt write any of this, they took notes from a famous music professor that did lectures on the subject, they thought it was interesting and turned it into a "song"
@pharaohoftheincubi ummm, its on there lord has left us album or whatever its called. The album is a concept album. TSOAF is a bunch of friends that are from other bands that decided to make a few albums together, and they basically just jammed out and whatever they got out of it, they used and put together as a song. They're a very very experimental band.
Lmao, I don't care if it's some "post-modern concept". This is just an absolutely horrible song. It literally might be the absolute worst I've ever heard. I love Anthony Green, The Sounds of Animals Fighting, and most of the other people that were apart of this project but this song just sounds completely terrible. I know they're trying to make a point or something in this song, but it doesn't make an excuse for the song to be THIS terrible.
@Albin0Cr0w your not getting the message AT ALL then lol. The whole purpose of this song is to show that people just look for catchy tunes and tend not to worry about the message. Maybe if you read the lyrics and realized that music is more the just background noise you can tap your foot to. Its an art form. Not every visual piece of art is appealing to the eye, its also about the message and feeling it gives to the viewer.
This song is garbage.

@ThisScopesForYou oh i see! ah, that makes more sense then. on the album (if it is on an album), is it more like an interludy type thing?

"If I sing a melody of consonants now, people would say it isn't music... There you see how narrow our concept of music is..."
This song is so fucking meta.
MsMchance 1 month ago
That's the point! It's a very postmodern concept because it's not meant to be a song to enjoy but there's a conceptual purpose for it.

This is honestly one of the worst songs I have ever heard. I love TSOAF but this is a disaster; Sounds like Gandhi on crack.
