  • I'm 17 and this march was probably the most beautiful thing i've ever witnessed in my short life.

  • Just don't anything stupid like the other protesters and start blocking roadways and building entrances.

  • So wonderful!

  • whos on harmonica , its deff chromatic

  • @Lazairus I found out the next day it was Guy Davis standing next to me playing the harmonica

  • we should all get torches and sledge hammers and level wall street and all the pigs who work there!

  • Pete Seeger isn't in this video, though...

  • @groundhog593 yes he is he's just sitting down on the right, there is another of my videos where you can see him clearly, he's there

  • god bless him :)

    and all of them

  • god bless him :)

  • God BLESS YOU ALL IN WALLSTREET. Im a FAR RIGHT Ron Paul supporter, and a Tea Partier, but ITS TIME WE PUT THE BANKSTERS IN THEIR PLACE!

  • Pete is wonderful and I am so glad he was there! And for those who don't know - the guy who is playing the green guitar is Rick Nestler - long time friend of Pete and a wonderful musician and activist check out his work!

  • NO SOUND!!!! WHY???!!

  • occupy blo-no /watch?v=9xFoZSbrav8 chk out my other hiddn stuff if ya want.thnx

  • Now THIS makes me proud to be an American..stand strong!!

  • im glad music is apart of this revolution were getting there everyone! stay strong!!!

  • That's okay Rob. I was there for all of my friends that couldn't be.

  • I'd recognize that green guitar anywhere! It's RICK NESTLER!!! I wish I could've been there with you, my friend, but as a member of the 99%, I couldn't afford the train fare. Well done, sir. My hat's off to you all.

  • Never in my 50 plus years have I been more proud of my fellow workers here in the USA. Occupy! Occupy!

  • Awesome as usuall David !!!

  • Amen

  • Time Warner turned off the lights briefly in the beginning, catch that? Seems like they couldn't bring themselves to keep them off.

  • To the rifles, comrades !

No social war - no justice!

  • I was 13 years old when I peddled by old bike downtown to Detroit's Masonic Temple to see Pete Seeger and the Weavers in concert during the time an earlier incarnation of right wing fanatics had targeted Pete for being un-American. I thought then as I do now that Pete Seeger is the quintessential example of what an American ought to be.

  • A gear American, a great human.

  • I wish I coulda been there......

  • goverment is a big lie stop consuming their poisoning products do research try zeitgeist haarp secrets dea secrets secret society united we the 99% can make that change

  • Back in 1980, when Reagan was running, he started telling us how great it was that a little of his economic platform would "trickle down" to the middle and low income people. I was outraged because I know how small a trickle is. And I have been outraged ever since. But that wasn't good enough, the Republicans thought that the trickle was a "LEAK", so for the last 30 years, while laying everyone off and outsourcing to contractors, they hired the plumbers and had them replace the washers!

  • I hope everyone noticed that Obama's campaign in 2008 was in large part financed by small donations by individuals. That is the same strategy his campaign is already doing for the 2012 election.

  • this needs to go viral...the most inspirational video i;ve seen in weeks...please share everywhere ......let it shine...let it shine...let it shine....

  • Pete was my dad's all-time favorite musician. I love him, too. Arlo Guthrie is a blast. I wish Dad could see this. I'm returning to the D.C. occupation on Tuesday. I hope everyone who can gets a chance to be part of the occupation where they live. It's the experience of a lifetime. The people at Freedom Plaza are wonderful. I miss them after only being away for a week. Most tourists and local residents who wander through our encampment support what we're doing.

  • BEAUTIFUL! There is no end to what we can accomplish as individuals standing TOGETHER as ONE people.

Great to see Pete Seeger & Arlo Guthrie there!! The human struggle of our time is evolving into a multi-generational movement. After having experienced the changes of the sixties-seventies first-hand, I am beginning to feel like I have come full-circle to this point in time.

As Zola once said, the TRUTH is on the MARCH and NOTHING can stop it NOW!

    GOD BLESS from Canada

  • Pete Seeger inspired me to get out and march today. If Pete can walk 36 blocks with 2 canes at age 92, then I have no excuse to sit on my butt. :)

Thanks, Pete, David, Tom and Arlo for one more generation inspired by your huge hearts.

  • It was a beautiful night in NYC, thank you Mr. Seeger.

  • Power to the people. I wish John Lennon were there. Miss you John.

Thank you to all the protesters and supporters. You are very brave and beautiful.

  • Really love this. Great to see Pete still going

  • awesome!

@ savgal1211, jeeze, lighten up or u'll give urself an aneurism

@RoseWhiteRoseRed even if u cannot attend an occupy protest, you CAN withdraw your money from bank & cut up credit cards - it's a start

  • @timothub , @iainciotach The guy in the black cap with the green guitar is not Tom Paxton. That is Rick Nestler.

  • I hope some punk chick gets gANG RAPED and see her skank ass holler "Fuck the police" then! Stupid pukes! Police have a JOB and risk their lives, I hope you get your WROL world! Know why? None of you dumb ass anarchists have rifles or know how to hunt or fish, you have zero skills except BEGGING and ENVY, these ain't skills! I will be cheering for the culling of the anarchist herd! You want Anarchy, and no cops? BETTER WATCH WTF YOU WISH FOR!! I hope you all get the Fuck beaten out of you!!

  • @savgal1211

If you weren't so belligerent and ignorant, maybe you'd realize these people are upset because they CAN'T get jobs! The system is rigged in favor of the few, the billionaire & multi-millionaire elitists who run this country. Very shameful for you to insult the protesters and wish gang-rape on them, as you did, just because you're too ignorant to see you should be in solidarity with your fellow human being. Or are you one of the Top 1%?

  • @savgal1211 We expect nothing less from sociopaths like you. Pathetic really. You don't have the philosophy to understand what is important and beautiful in life. It has always been thus. Good people trying to figure out a way to restrain violent sociopaths.

  • @savgal1211 Liberatarians are anarchists and right wing. Those are the ones begging the American people for billion dollar Corporate Welfare, oil subsidies and handing out trillion dollar bank bailouts. Get a clue. These people are saying enough to the freeloaders time to pull your weight. BTW, your remarks are why TeaFascos have an 83% disapproval rating and the MAJORITY of Americans support OWS. Go away Joe McCarthy!

  • Scum bags protesting aginast the Police in NYC right now! Those Punks would be CRYING like the Mommy's Pussie Boys and girls they are if someone steals their fucking I Pad!!! You'll call the cops if someone steals your shit, right? STFU!! I hope they crack your empty heads open! The more bloody anarchists, THEBETTER!! You wanna Fight? Gun holders WIN!!!

  • @savgal1211 They aren't protesting against the cops. Cops' pensions are affected by Wall Street shenanigans as much as anyone's, and they are subject to layoffs as a result of the economics caused by the manipulations of the various markets. Protesters don't like it when the police break heads or spray mace vs. a peaceful assembly. But why so angry?

  • Beautiful. I cried. All these people joining together in this beautiful moment. I wish I could do something :(

  • @RoseWhiteRoseRed

You just did. You made a touching comment that I could relate too. We are all in this together. In one way or another we are connecting. Peace.

  • @Whorulesnow It's true. Moments where we can realize and cherish that are the most beautiful of all.

  • What a beautiful orgy of music! May we all embrace people of all cultures, ideologies, political beliefs and color and Occupy TOGETHER

  • Who's the guy in the black cap with teh green guitar?

  • @iainciotach That's Tom Paxton. He received a Grammy lifetime achievement award a couple years ago.

  • Arlo's still looking pretty cool

  • AMEN! This is like the old prophets and the wise visionaries. Listen to them. They know.

  • I love Pete Seeger's little light, always have, always will

  • Awesome.

  • I love that this is happening in America. About goddamn time!!!

  • This is sweet =]

  • more video coming, subscribe to my channel for all my Occupy videos, about 20 more coming!

  • it never happen in my country..... I want to live in usa.... I don't want to waste my life in here....

  • 2nd Verse: "Hide it under a bushel? "NO!" I'm gonna let it shine. I'm gonna make it to Occupy Kansas City this next week! I'm 66, but if Pete can make it at 92, I think I hack it, too!

  • It's hard to see, but Pete is in there, sitting down in front of David Amram. You can clearly see his face and hat by Amram's left elbow. Maximize for best results. Awesome.

  • from 0:10 to about 0:15 you can see Pete Seeger's face smiling with his red toque on, next to the flute guy's drum, under the green guitar. Love will confuse the evils of the world! LET IT SHINE, LET IT SHINE, LET IT SHINE!!

  • Haha yeha

  • Where's Pete, had he left already?

  • @dragonhope He's in there, by David Amram's elbow- sitting down kind of under David and Arlo.

  • I didn't see Pete Seeger in this video

  • Thank you for posting------love it.

  • Brilliant. Very emotional!

  • Pete Seeger--accused by McCarthyism, honored by the same government at the Kennedy Center and on tired legs still walking a path of freedom for others, pointing (with a cane now) at wrongs needing righted. Arlo, singing past the disease he inherited from his dad and encouraging the 99ers in their quest for greater freedom for all of us. Light up my Saturday morning with hope!

  • Thanks so much for sharing.

  • "I am a burned out, and unknown Druggie, except for these punks, my fans wear Huggies, I will grab this, internet attention, I HAVEN"T HAD A HIT IN YEARS"!!

  • @savgal1211 Or, a man who was a hero of the McCarthy era, and knows a thing or two about how wrong this country is capable of treating people, decides to show his support for a movement he believes in. And maybe bring a little hope and happiness into their lives.

  • Pete's pretty old now, he told Joe McCarthy basically to kiss his ass.

  • Love is powerful it is the most powerful force in the universe ,we are one">

    Unite family love you:)

  • Where is Pet Seeger?

  • Very awesome.

  • Best video yet on the search for Pete at Occupy
