I know it's sad and I've played this game before..But i wouldn't think of a better way to end a story is to let the hero die at the end. Zack proved to be more than the hero he dreamed of becoming and in turn Cloud also performed well as his Living Legacy.

This is the first FF I have played and it was amazing. I was hooked from the begining and just couldn't stop playing. It had an absolutely fantastic story and a surprising and sad ending. Although I didn't want Zack to die, it is what has made this an incredible journey and story to play as the end (Zacks death) just hits you BAM. Is he really dead??? It can't be. And his girl left behind looking up to the sky as if she new. Like I said great story and very moving scenes and music. Well done.

In Final Fantasy 7, Cloud was obviously weaker than Zack. Cloud needed Tifa Barret and his friends to help save the world. But in the ending at FF7, Cloud became stronger than Zack, he actually took down sephiroth and was pretty much badass in Advent Children. I mean, Bahamut, those three guys, than Sephiroth without resting. I hate it when people compare Zack to Cloud, you can't really compare lol.
