One, her hands are already clean by association and two, ungloved is fine if she doesn't have cuts on her hands, they're clean and she's not touching her mouth or eyes during the procedure to protect herself and her client. learn how germs really transfer.

yes, she's waxing during a facial. it says so in the title so her hands are definitely clean. she just has to wash her hands again before she can continue with the facial. i do this for a living, hun :) it can be done that way.

with the wax remover, it depends on the brand of wax they use and what their wax system consists of. the Gigi system, for example, has a wax remover oil that's safe for the skin and gently breaks down the built up wax.

It's an armpit wax, not surgery. I'm sure this lady survived the hair removal with out the gloves. Sheesh.

Gloves ARE required and part of health code law in some states. Since waxing removes the bulb of the hair from the follicle it is possible for microscopic amount of blood to come out. Just because you cannot see it does not mean it isn't there. To protect yourself and your client, gloves SHOULD always be worn when waxing.

I do like the lady in the video, but I would ask her to add gloves:)

it is not necessary to wear gloves when you're waxing, because there's no straight body fluid contact (blood) so std's can't be transfered while waxing. but of course you got the keep your fingernails very short en keep your hands clean and steril.
