Anna's voice is really huge 'cause her neck is very thick and she is absolutely not a delicate build. She has big guttural /deep voice in typical russian tone-colour and many times shouts at the top of her voice.
IT WOULD BE NICE and MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE IF SHE WOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH HER VOICE and SING FULL OF DELICATE NUANCES with GREAT SUBTLETY as ANGHELA GHEORGHIU or NATALIE DESSAY and others IN THE SAME ROLES. (cont.)
The problem is; her voice accords are not flexible enough 'cause even over-weighted sopranos, as DEAR Montserrat Caballé sang as a heavenly angel always or e.g.; Joan Sutherland and many who has got extra flexibility.
As I see if she sings in this way year by year and not anymore as in Russia aprox.;15 years before (when she was still thin) UNFORTUNATELY she'll be a robust and really rugged "O JAJ" Wagner soprano soon.

Призывать к её возвращению, чтобы мы могли сказать "Великая певица не променяла Россию на гнилую Европу!" - это эгоизм с примесью шовинизма на фоне фальсификации. Если бы она могла собрать в России зал в любое время и в любом городе, мы бы как минимум видели её намного чаще. Но у нас больше шансов имеет Верка Сердючка. А малые и большие города Европы разбираются гораздо лучше, где пустой звук, а где - большое искусство, им и пряники.

Anna and Rolando both love opera. They play their roles convincingly and with great skill, and they greatly appreciate working with colleagues, who are also very believable. In many Russian communities, and elsewhere outside the English speaking world, expressing affection to many is a normal part of culture, with no romantic overtones, really a much healthier way of relating and perceiving.
People love to read in to things what they imagine! So stupid!

I read in an interview that they prefer not to perform together because they want to keep their personal lives separate from their professional lives. But I just saw the DVD of Rolando and Anna in La Traviata, and I believed it!

Why should be it shown? Nobody really knows, except them-themselves, if they were lovers or not. She married another man, he was married already when this story was supposedly developing, if really was.I do not feel comfortable, watching this, my honest word.

The idea is to show the real love story of two real people, one of whom was not free at the time. I love both of these singers, but I think that such presentation is a bit invasive, and I feel that I forced to watch something too personal and too private.
