  • Hunterman, most powder cans will have some simple suggestions on the jug, plus there are about a million and one reloading manuals out there for sale

And to the poster, love your choice of topic for speech class, that's awesome

  • How do you no how much powder and what grain to put in?

  • ya collecting the shot gun shells would be great in a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

  • how many times can you reload the same shotgun shell?

  • LMAO!! This was the stool sample that THE ARMORY Channel was talking about LOL!!!!!!

  • hahaha i love gun related school projects everyone in or near my school wants to call the cops if u draw a gun for your art project lol. did they give u a hard time about this?

  • can you use bb gun ammo to reload shotgun shells

  • yeah

  • @TheOutdoorsman3 i couldnt see why not. some people fill a shotgun shell w/ nails lol

  • whats in the wad? i don't know a lot about ammuntion, i thought all that was in the shell was the powder and shot.

  • Great video man, hope you got an A+! I'm actually glad you didn't use the auto loader for the powder and shot... doing it manually showed what was going on more clearly.

  • how many times can you reuse the same shell

  • Wow. That was way easier than I thought it would be.

  • This looks to be a MEC reloader. The charge bar looks to be an adjustable but why it is not used with the bottles of shot and powder I can only guess. There are much better videos out that that show how a MEC should work. This would take too much time as this is not automated a it could have been.

  • the name of the machine

  • his sucks shit. if your going to reload, get something that pours the pours the powder and shot for you with the sliding bar.

  • thanks man i will do that

  • good job. good info.

  • Incredibly informative. As a new shotgun owner, I enjoyed this very much. A great skill to have.

  • and moneysaver!

  • can you tell me or guide me from where i can get this tool, any e-mail or fax or contact number

  • I wish I had one of those reloading tools. Is this still possible to do by hand?

  • great vid bro... have you ever taken a 2 3/4 shell and made it a 2 9/16ths shell for older shotguns?

  • Thanks for your comment! To answer your question, no, the press is set for 2 3/4 inch shells only.

  • great video

    A+

  • why didn't you just use the auto loader on the press? wouldn't that have been easier than pouring it in yourself?

  • Yes, it would have been, but this was a speech project video, with a certain time requirement. Fast was not the first thing on my mind (:

  • what kind of primers do u use

  • whats the best shell to reload?

  • Winchester AA hulls.

  • What do i do if i want a 16 gauge shell :O

  • Well, first of all, no one produces 16-gauges anymore. But if you really want 16-gauge shells, I was at Meijer(I think it was Meijer) the other day and 16-gauge shells were on sale. You might check local dealers.

  • Actually they are still produced, they are just a major bitch to find... i think Browning makes 2 of their models in 16 gauge still. Not sure why no one loves the 16 gauge :( its such a nice gun to shoot.

  • Well I think the main reason is that whatever you want to accomplish with a 16-gauge you can accomplish just as well with a 20- or 12-gauge. I've never actually used one myself.

  • 16g guns are still being produced. Special order only.

  • Please use safety glasses. Your eyes are to valuable.

  • Excellent point, thank you. I forgot during the video, it was filmed at approximately 11:30 PM...

  • instead of using that plastic wad could someone use like cotton balls?

  • No. The cotton ball would catch fire, to say the least. Just use the plastic wads, they're like 12 dollars for several hundred.

  • lol ok man , but wouldent that be something .. a flaming cotton ball

  • you could use wooden dowel and cut it fit if you really cant find plastic or fibre wad

  • great stuff you showing!!! I'm envious.

  • Thanks!

  • How much money do you think you save by reloading shells?

  • It depends on what you shoot, and how much you shoot. If you're shooting heavy handgun loads, like .44, .45, or .357, and you shoot then a lot, you'll save tons of money. On the other hand, if you only shoot a few time a year, its probably not worth it.

  • i shoot skeet and trap

    what should i use

in (like how much powder and shot)

  • 12 or 20

  • its mostly up to you on how you like it you just have to experiment a bit

  • Can i load a wedding ring instead of shot LoL

  • You can load anything you want into shotgun shells. I know a guy who loaded popcorn kernels into his, so he could scare some dogs away from his yard without killing them.

  • Thanks man!

  • Why dont you just use the charge bar on the reloader instead of having to premeasure it every time

  • i know thats wierd

  • I was thinking the same thing!

  • I only needed to reload one shell for the demo video. I didn't even use real powder or primer, since when I do reload, I take most of an afternoon and reload several hundred at once.

  • @BobStickman

Good for you son, doing this for a school project. How much does this cost to get all of the equipment and to reload shells? I really love my shotgun, but it costs a bit to shoot.

  • Good stuff.

  • Thanks!

  • how much powder do i put in each shell?

  • It really depends on what you're looking for, hunting or trap, and how heavy a load you want. If you give me some specifics, I'll get you the information.

  • 2-3/4 winchester AA target loads shot size 7-1/2 thanks

how much can around $200 of matierials make?

  • not every powder takes the same weighing, it's all about the specs o the powder you're using. Even the primer is different with the powder you're using... so the best thing to do is to ask your retailer to tell you some measurements, for the powder vs shoot.

  • you need to learn how to reload right.

  • Hi Bob, great video. What kind of Press were you using for this Demo?

  • I used a MEC Junior 12-gauge press. Even though the particular press I used was acquired by my father about 20 years ago, MEC still makes them.

  • Man this was excellent!!

  • uk dude u helped mme
