VMRO was pure Bulgarian and its intention was to either create the Great Bulgaria by annexing Macedonia or if that was imposiible due to the objection of the big powers, they intended to create a Macedonian state that would be controled by Bulgarians. Indeed so, in 1941 the Bulgarian king Boris was welcomed in Skopje as a liberator and there were thousands of Bulgarian flags to greet him. The FYROMian communist party broke off the Yugoslavian and joined the Bulgarian communist party and literature was taught in Bulgarian in FYROM. These are facts. After 1944 Tito tried to avoid Bulgaria's possible expansionist plans and start his propaganda to make the Bulgarians think that they are Macedonians! That's the whole story on that!

VMRO was pure Bulgarian and its intention was to either create the Great Bulgaria by annexing Macedonia or if that was imposiible due to the objection of the big powers, they intended to create a Macedonian state that would be controled by Bulgarians. You can see that in dr Tartarchev's memoirs. There were no ethnic Macedonians at that time. The native Macedonians were Greeks and they fought against VMRO. Ottoman archives refer to VMRO as a BULGARIAN revolutionary organization.

I really don't know why Macedonians like czar Samuil. And I am Macedonian. But Veslilios II, or Basil II, half Armenian and half Slav. Basil came from the Roman Province of Macedonia (which was located at Thrace for some reason) and Slavs going so far into the Byzantine Empire and populating many part of the Empire so there is a possibility that Basil was half Slav. Overall, he is not Greek.

Φιλαράκο το νόημα είναι το εξής, πριν το 1923 δεν υπήρχε η έννοια του εθνικά Μακεδόνα. Υπήραχν οι Έλληνες και οι Βούλγαροι, οι Βούλγαροι χρησιμοποιούσαν τον όρο Μακεδόνας σαν τοπικό και οχι εθνικό χαρακτηρισμό.
