  • Just want to say I have a Naxos CD "Great Operetta Recordings" which has on final Track #20 this same closing grand finale sung by Hilde Gueden, Kingsway Symph. Orch., cond. Hans May, on Decca DR 13392 (London, 1949) - It's a splendid CD I never tire of hearing, all 20 "Viennese Operetta Gems"!

  • Yvonne Kenny does a magnificent job with this gorgeous Lehar song; however, this is the finale of "The Merry Widow" that the SF and LA Operas did in the mid-2000's. They interpolated this aria from "Paganini" into "The Merry Widow". Susan Graham and Carol Vaness sang the title role in LA.

  • Such an exquisite production in every way.

  • A great aria from a not too well-known operetta. I really liked the way Yvonne Kenny opened this performance of it. She lingered and wrapped herself around each note to allow the chorus and orchestra (and herself) to flow through and bring the piece to a fine conclusion.
