Silly! We're trying to learn the modern Russian Anthem - but yes - the Heroes of the Soviet Union should always be remembered with fear and respect - and love! Soviet rejection of the hypocrisy from religious people and political leaders - very important to remember. Without the example of the USSR, and then China - it would be hard to imagine that much of the progress of the 20th century in political law and social duty would have happened.

I'm Canadian and this is my favorite national anthem. I actually prefer the old Soviet lyrics (the English lyrics of which is incorrectly shown on this video of the modern Russian version), just because of how they sound, without regard to all the talk about Lenin etc.

i am canadian and i must say this is my favorite anthem. although it was tough to watch the russian's win the WJC hockey U20 tournament but i must say the anthem is an epic song for a team to sing after winning a championship.

I'm American and I have to say I like the Russian anthem. The American national anthem makes the hair on the back of my neck stick out but go figure; I'm American. But I do feel the Russian anthem is very beautiful even though I'm not Russian.

I'm half Russian, and I really this country put their heart and soul into this song. Russia is such a lonely and disturbed country when you think about her history, but really, we get by through sole determination and strong-will.

I love the Russian anthem,they truely put their heart and soul into this. Plus the length certainly shows us how much they love their country, I'm Canadian and frankly, I'm jelous. I honorably salute the Motherland and all of her inhabitants.
