I've never forgotten this song ever since I first got the "Bedtime Stories and Songs" video many years ago. This song is so catchy and upbeat for a lullaby. And it's especially cool knowing that this is one of the only times that we see Snuffy's cave. In fact, this song seems like it has a dancing beat to it.
Unless I'm mistaken, this is the first time I've ever seen Snuffy's cave. He's mentioned that setting a couple of times when he was with Big Bird. Am I right on this?
Snuffy is currently performed by Marty Robinson, but Jerry Nelson did perform him back in the 1970's,and for a brief while, Michael Earl Davis also performed him. This clip is from 1986, by this time, Robinson had become Snuffy's performer.
I really like Snuffy too and he is also one of my favorite characters but, is he not on Sesame Street anymore? Or, is he still on the show? I'm wondering about this because I haven't seen Sesame Street for a long time. My other favorite character was "Kermit The Frog" and I know that "Kermit The Frog" is not on Sesame Street anymore.
That's great that Snuffy is still on Sesame Street. Also, the reason why Kermit is not on Sesame Street anymore is because, in the year 2001, the studio that produced Sesame Street which is called "Sesame Workshop" (it used to be called the "Children's Television Workshop") lost the right on Kermit The Frog, so Kermit was taken off the show because of this reason.
@MuppetVoicesAndMore There was a website called Sesame Encyclopedia (it's invalid now) that had pictures of almost every muppet and monsters and gave some information on them and for Kermit The Frog it was mentioned that "Sesame Workshop" (which used to be called the "Children's Television Workshop") lost the right on Kermit in the year 2001 so Kermit was taken off Sesame Street. (Now there's a Muppet Wiki website). If you have questions on Kermit The Frog maybe you can email PBS.
I love this song. I used to have this on video to help me go to sleep everytime when I get restless. Bedtime Storyies and songs and big birds story time. I used to get restless all the time when I was little and the video Bedtime Storyies and Songs and Big Birds Story Time helped me fall asleep it always worked.
Actually, Snuffle Lullaby was a totally different song on the album Sleepytime Bird. The song was extremely slow, and a little on the boring side. This song, however, is a lot more upbeat, and a lot more memorable.
I can't tell who wrote the version is on Sleepytime Bird. All I know is Jeff Moss and Daniel Wilcox wrote ONE of the songs, and I'm just not sure who wrote THIS one.
Not to mention that no one but Big Bird could see Snuffy in the seventies. It wasn't until 1985 that they all saw him. I remember this from "Bedtime Stories and Songs".
so many memories..luv it xxx

Actually this is probably from 1985-1986 because Snuffy is performed by Marty Robinson and is interacting with Gordon.
