WHO CARES ABOUT THE LYRICS??!!! I've been listened to metal for a long time and lyrics have NEVER deterred me from liking a song. The main reason for metal is to appreciate the other instruments complementing the singer. MPE does a great job of that and thats why I like them.

The mirror(image of yourself), says you have limits and a darken image of yourself. This makes you sad.

Second paragraph, not sure, tells about fear of danger or changes.

The last paragraph says that, by the limits you give to yourself, the world will forget you. You'll feel too peaceful and you'll get nobody to fill your life, because of your fear to change.

Love this song, and definatly agree with ArgoSG about the Orchestral work! I just love a band that knows good harmony especially whe they know where the vocals belong. Personally I think his voice could sound just a bit better (it doesn't do his music justice). But it's close enough. One bad I have found who NEVER lets me down, and every song they have ever made has been just pure perfection: Insomnium! Check it out if ya don't know who it is, give some input if you do!

I was shown both bands, and many others from Finland and Sweden mostly, but those two along with Swallow the Sun caught my attention the most. Their songs are just emotionally inspiring, and retardedly epic towards the middle end and the outros. Devoid of Caring is probably my favorite example of that.

I never pay much attention to metal lyrics. I listen more to vocals as a sort of stringed/woodwind/percussive instrument and pay more attention to delivery, variety of sound, and timbre. If the lyrics are good then it's just a bonus. But if lyrics are good but the vocals don't mesh well, it's like building a house... why concern yourself with painting a wall that hasn't finished being constructed yet?
