1. at 4:09, you got a 1up because your coin counter was at a multiple of 11 (er, well zero) and the first digit of your time counter was the base of that multiple. for example, if you touch the flag pole while your coin counter is at 33 and your time counter is 143, you'll get a one up. very useful to know. if there's a 10 coin block at the end of the level, take advantage of that.

2. in 9-4, i think every enemy in the game is congratulating you. (pretty odd way of showing it. but it's kinda similar to how everyone who's in a play takes a bow during the end) the message in Japanese translates to "thank you for playing"
