@nmon1 ...maybe if you have bad hearing you`d think Toontrtacks is better but if you have good hearing and skills you`d know AD is about 4 million times better.

Protrig is the best way to turn audio into midi, it's amazing. Search for ProTrig on youtube. I use it to trig the drum set that comes with "rock band" and it sounds SO REAL! I swear I just sold my Roland TD-12 drum kit because it just can't match the accuracy of Protrig. The feeling and response of the rock band drums are actually ok but I'm buying real pads next salery. 40$ each!
I use it in my studio, its definately not just for educational purposes, its blows most drum softwares away! (although I like BFD2, i'd still pick this)
Its also a good investment for Midi kits, although unless you have a Kit that allows you to change notes for each specific pad, its a bitch to program lol
hey i have a Roland HD-1 V-Drums Lite And I have a creative X-Fi FATAL1TY Champion Series but umm can someone give me link to a cord that i could buy for it the drums midi is a 5 Pin Cable And my sound card's is a Female Mini Midi Thingy look it up on google please im to lazy lol

hey man. what software do you use? i have the roland hd-1 and want to try it with cubase sx3 and addictive drums. what hardware do you use? do you use a usb-midi interface or got a midisoundcard? how about latency? please comment! thx
@smugly666 I use addictive drums in pro tools using a Yamaha dtsExpress edrum set as the trigger, any pro tools interface will work perfectly, I use eleven rack. Latency is pretty hard to notice when live drumming/recording. If you are very sensitive, you can tell it is there but there is no reason to dwell on it unless you have concentration issues to begin with. Of course, everything is in time in the recording and you can nudge the track.
some poeple just don't have the possibilty to play on an accoustic drumset at home or somewhere else. being a musician, why can't you just be happy for people, who are still able to find a way to make music despite certain circumstances. i play the piano - i don't think people who play on electronic keyboard are stupid.
@metropolis606 ....i guess your not in the music industry are you...this is the future...most pro drummers are using software and triggers on stage now...stop being the past and step into the future man.
hey man great job. i have been searching for a while for how to use the addictive drums with my electronic drum set but i couldn't find out.can you help me please ?
Your hats seem to be working better than mine..what did you do? all i did was map one of the notes from my TD6 to the HH sound in Adictive drums, sometimes it doesnt register a propper HH Close...or maybe im too picky :)

So how much did you get paid to say you sold a Roland kit over the rock band kit?
BrianS198 3 years ago 3
mcadder = bullshit
You would have to be a complete Idiot to get rid of a TD12 over the shitty Rock Band Drums....plus the Guitar Hero ones are much better ;)
jamesallan87 2 years ago
:o)
Yes, the guitar hero drums are better...
But what I wanted to say was simply that ProTrig is an amazing trigger and with the use of AD it really rocks!

You just need a adapter that makes a standard midi cable into a mini midi, should have gotten two with your card. Look it up I am lazy.

Any tips on how to setup the DFHS C&V with Roland v-drums and Sonar 6 producer?
What software is actually needed to set these new sounds into action by the v-drums and what setting changes must be made on the module?
BTW, is that a Yamaha Digi. mixer?
If so, how do you like it?
I've been looking to get one and pair it with an Alesis HD24.

i love that set up you have there, are those just pads on top of the drums with acoustic triggers? or something a little more complex?
mindphlux 4 years ago
sounds nice except for the bass drum....too muddy and dull...not enough "kick"...saying that it could be the recording.

@alkie2008 Saying that MOST pro drummers are using triggers on stage is a VAST OVERSTATEMENT.
