most micros look like singles to me, my lady does natural micro fusion braids, they are super super small, totally different method, and the way you take care of them is moisture, can't use a lot of moisture on regular micros or they would slide out. She has an instruction sheet, of what products and hair she only uses, and the do's and dont's. Everyone's hair she's done grew long, and you can keep them for a year, the take out is vey simple, they are so beautiful, like a head full of real hair.

@melcymel Sure you can micro braid your hair. I suggest you still do the slip knot but braid in a tiny bit of extension hair about 4 strands of hair and knot only the extension hair. This will keep your braids from unraveling.

I braid all types of hair and for the most part it's all about practice and skill. From my own experiences doing caucasian hair in the past. I learned that using a bit of light hairspray makes all the difference. That should help you out a lot.

Human hair is best and lasts the longest.

Micros don't damage your hair any more than another style. Careful handling... I.E. avoiding tight ponytails, having a skilled braider that doesn't braid you too tight or add more than 2 packs of hair (8oz) to your head, washing and moisturizing your braids, using a satin scarf at night and redoing your edges every 3-4 weeks all prevents damage.

I can't tell you how long it would take because every braider braids differently (I.E slow or fast).

no, braiders who say that are just lazy, tell them to braid it all the way down. they just want to braid it a little bit ant leave the ends loose. takes less time. just make sure you get 18 or 20 inch hair.

Yes, it's 18 inch human hair (Chinese Remi) not the stuff from the beauty supply. Chinese Remi is good stuff, holds up forever and can be reused if needed.

I was planning on doing my own micros in a couple weeks but damn I wish you could do them. I refuse to go back to the African braiders b/c they the truth at braiding fast bu they braid too tight.
