Hey Jim, I love your videos. I live in clt so when you say it is raining there I know that I am going to be in it next. I also live in the south and I understand how religion can make family gatherings hectic. I have always found in my family that they are so southern that they just want to get along and feed everyone on the holidays.
Great video Jim. I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. And that your family was so welcoming. As much as I love my family, as a black american and VERY religious family, I know that they would not, for the MOST part, be welcoming of my partner...if I had one.

I saw a couple today who were openly affectionate with each other. I said to both of them that it was really nice to see. I told him I had just come out this year... to which he said...WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG? lol funny but true.
@kylieluvsart Thanksgiving went off without a hitch. A couple of people avoided us but that was okay. It is nice to see couples like you describe. Looking back, it is funny or thought provoking as to why we waited so late to come out. I'm thankful that so many people are finally feeling the courage and comfort to come out. I remember one Thanksgiving back in the early 80s when the weather and temperature were like mid-Summer, and that was in October and this is Canada...
A big fat turkey was served outdoors on a big long table and the whole clan was gathered there on the shore of the lake on that beautiful sunny day. Sadly, many of those who were there are no longer with us, but I am thankful to have known them.
I watched. I'm glad you and your partner get to spend the holiday together. This will be a special one. I never knew the Cowboys played the Lions, I always thought they both played other teams on Thanksgiving. Go Cowboys. Happy Thanksgiving!

@CountryComesToTown I am so happy to hear you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!! Actually, it's been quite balmy and sunny during the day, around 50 or so. At night it goes down to about 30-24, but that's ok! And NO snow yet..almost unheard of. I am really happy with the weather so far this fall!
