A federal wildlife biologist, Charles Monnett, whose observation in 2004 of presumably drowned polar bears in the Arctic helped to galvanize the global warming movement has been placed on administrative leave and is being investigated for scientific misconduct, possibly over the veracity of that article.
And to all you children who believed Al Gore and Greenpeace tell you the polar bears are dieing . That is a lie. Their parents did not raise them well. They showed polar bears swimming in melted ice because it was filmed in spring when the ice melts.
All this crap started with that parasite of humanity Al Gore. This parasite wants to carbon tax you to death .Greenpeace is his special oops to put fear in people based on lies so he can profit from you.The Earth is now cooling and next you will see Greenpeace fight against global cooling.
way to go GreenPeace! Instead of doing something that could actually help, like getting people to sign a petition to introduce a bill to grow our energy independance from fossil fuels and demanding everyone use Solar, Wind & Geothermal) you decide to get people to sign a petition to "save" an animal that is not native to the United States of Amerca, effectively wasting everyone's time >.>
Seriously, our scientific data on the climate only goes back 30 years. Except for this one thing about a minor ice age that began 400 years ago that wiped out the vikings. That's why we have that documented. And if scientists are finding out that the Overall Earth temperature is rising every year, it's a good thing. And there's really nothing more all-natural on this planet than methane and carbon dioxide. Greenpeace is lying to you.
There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate.
well, the people that are active participants in earth day obviously do what they would do on earth day every day, then theres the few that on that day turn off their power and what not, and then theres the few that dont give a shit. the few that participate occasionally wont change anything, they'll live as they were, they dont want to be the active participants, the people who dont give a shit wont change, so your really not changing anything, actually making it worse.
How do you figure making it worse? Maybe a few more become active participants... Earth Day used to be about environmental education and maybe it still is, but most people's exposure is to hear about it on the news for a day or two. Even that is better than never, and it might make a little difference.
think of it like easter, you'll have the christians that go to church every sunday if easter was made to every sunday, then you get those few who will go on like easter and christmas, then the ppl who dont give a shit. the people who go everyday regardless dont change, the people who go only on easter and christmas will stop altogether because there is no longer significance to the date.
OK, I can understand that, but this doesn't make anything worse. Churches and religion serve a particular purpose. Environmental awareness has a useful place in society also. A larger amount of accurate information in people's understanding of any topic is for the good. For one thing it usually keeps them from hitting each other during disagreements, and it may lead to better understanding and even problem solving.
when i said that you were actually making it worse, i intended it so that you COULD be making it worse in that aspect, and then i said why that would be a possibility, i mean for all we know, if we make earth day everyday the entire world will participate 100%.. but its very unlikely, but the chance that it would improve would be about the same as the chance of it getting worse, in all likelihood, it would probably stay exactly the same, but lose the significance of its name.
If I understand you correctly, you posit that in this world it is not possible to change things for the better, but we see evidence to the contrary everyday.

you dont understand me correctly, for this particular case however, making earth day everyday would in all likely hood not change much at all.
