My friend hates instrumental music, or 'Classical Music' as she calls it, but we listened to this as it played on my ipod when we were on a train and she just stared out the window with a smile on her face until 1:34, where is started to disappear and by the time it got to 3:10 she was bawling her eyes out. She had no true appreciation of the harmonies or techniques, but she was so moved that she burst into tears right then and there. It's a testiment to Hans Zimmer.

Hans Zimmer is really incredible. But you also have to give credit to the players as well. If you had cruddy players playing this, it wouldn't be as good. I'm a cellist, and I know how annoying it is when the conductor/author get ALL the credit. They should receive MOST of the credit, but the players should NEVER be left out!

@JefJef7Jr im sorry but you probably didnt play it anywhere near as beautiful. Thats a tenor range and french horn is not a tenor pitched instrument, it is an alto pitched instrument. It is a Euphonium, and if you dont agree you dont know what a Euphonium truely sounds like.i know professional orchestral french horn players that couldnt play that whole solo beautifully. So im sorry but you are wrong. It may have been french horn in ur arrangement, but on the original soundtrack its Euphonium.
