There are many pro life atheists, yes indeed. I get upset more than you know when pro lifers use religious arguments to further the cause. I don't believe religion has any place in this debate. It is unfortunate that most people on the front lines of the pro life movement are evangelicals or Catholics promoting the faith. Thank you for making this video. I had an abortion last year and was pressured into keeping it by many people at my Church despite the horror that led to it. I am proud to stand up and say that I am a pro choice Christian. On another not, I often wonder how many pro lifers are anti IVF?

We even had a case in my own city a few years ago where some adoptive "parents" beat their child to death, tried to burn his body, hid the remains in their closet once they realized that bones don't burn at low temperatures, and then had people duped into thinking he was missing. I have talked to women who have been raped and said that they can not look at their child without hurt and pain. Who desperately want to put them up for adoption and did not get an abortion but wish they had. I have also met women who are elated they had an abortion and are so glad they didn't get burdened emotionally, financially, or physically. Just because someone had a bad experience doesn't make it wrong.

Descendants are understood to be the people that will be born in the future or are already born in the present, and again you have to be born first before you can be called a descendant of your ancestors totally different then being unborn. Unborn fetuses before viability dont have any rights under the constitution nor any other present laws.

'Person' doesn't mean 'human' by law definition. Fetuses are not people they may be human but they are not people. Dead bodies are not people, they don't have what is necessary to be a person. Whatever, it boils down to this. I know making abortion illegal won't stop it, in fact that only thing that can/will stop abortion is re-educating large amounts of people that have been misled over the past 30+ years to believe that human life in the womb is nothing more than a patch of skin or a clump of cells. Honestly it is your opinion and you are more than entitled to it, as are many other people...so I don't get why you feel so offended that some persons are willing to stand outside (wasting their own free time) a clinic and try to persuade people one way or the other, you know for a fact people have been using these techniques on you all your life, even on the other side, emphasizing emotional claims like rape/incest/medical necessity/even mortality... when it really is less that 7% total.
We're offended because if you had to make that choice, and it is a difficult one, and you saw those people saying you will go to hell, God will hate you, it's heart breaking. These people are basically saying 'We hate you, you filthy whore.' and I know they may not mean to say it but it's never intention, it's PERCEPTION. I know that there r atrocities that occur with adopted children but those are rare cases. But the logic: I'm not ready to have a child and I don't trust anyone else to raise it, so if I don't anna take care of it, and nobody else is allowed to take care of it, the best and most humane thing to do is to just kill the baby

We even had a case in my own city a few years ago where some adoptive "parents" beat their child to death, tried to burn his body, hid the remains in their closet once they realized that bones don't burn at low temperatures, and then had people duped into thinking he was missing. People actually went on a city-wide search for a child that was already dead.

Abby Johnson who ran a PP abortion clinic for eight years before becoming pro-life said that the graphic pictures were NOT helpful....it was the prayers and kindness that made the difference. I have talked to women who have been raped and said that they can not look at their child without hurt and pain. Who desperately want to put them up for adoption and did not get an abortion but wish they had. I have also met women who are elated they had an abortion and are so glad they didn't get burdened emotionally, financially, or physically. Just because someone had a bad experience doesn't make it wrong.

Descendants are understood to be the people that will be born in the future or are already born in the present, and again you have to be born first before you can be called a descendant of your ancestors totally different then being unborn. Unborn fetuses before viability dont have any rights under the constitution nor any other present laws.

If it counts as slavery to forbid someone from doing something, then every punishable offense could be called slavery. Rape is "forcible sexual relations with a person against that person's will". Between the conception and birth of the child, no sexual relations are involved. Not necessarily anyway.

@haydedan Actually, if any of us had been aborted as a zygote, a fertilized egg in the first trimester, we would neither know nor care. I was a planned and wanted child anyway, and my own mom couldn't have any more after me because of kidney problems, so another pregnancy would have been a huge risk to her health and life. And no, it's no more violent then any other medical procedure, and certainly more moral then forcing a woman to bear an unwanted pregnancy and childbirth against her will.

The cerebral cortex, the part responsible for consciousness, does not begin to develop until week26. You eny life to millions of bacteria with every breath you take.

i've had an abortion and i hate myself for it but i got over it after 2 years and i know what you mean about the protesters outside. there were some when i went and yea. it does make you feel alone. but honestly i wish one of them would've tried a little harder to change my mind.

I've had friends do it. They did open adoptions and yea it hurts but they live.

The bible doesnt dictate most of the laws, why should it consume the abortion debate. Honestly, it should be a law that women age 12-18 have to take birth control, after that its her choice. That will cut out about 40 % of abortion right there.

I agree with you completely. My Mom is from Paraguay (where abortion is illegal except to save the life of the mother) and she said that when abortion is illegal that there will still be abortion. She had a cousin get an illegal abortion. Oh, and I also saw the twelve (12) year old. She reminds me of me in a way. I blame the Mom for feeding the little girl disgusting false facts!

TRUTH- It seems that most of these responses are just selfish and nothing else. Some are just to stir the "pot up".
I truly believe that once we start placing value on peoples lives, whether viewed valuable or unimportant, we are in trouble.

@angelshoulders Even more mothers would die at the hands of abortionists if it were made illegal as there would be only back alley abortions being performed and the industry wouldn't be as regulated. As for what sort of person can do this? Well I also couldn't open up someones brain and remove a brain tumor but thank goodness some people do learn these things otherwise more people would die of brain cancer.

You use the RETERIC that there would still be some illegal abortions,but disregard ANY lives that would be saved from such a ban.You can't honestly tell me that EVERY woman who would have an abortion while it's legal would do the same illegally.Some would, certainly,but not all.&as to women dying,we didn't kill them.They made that choice for themselves.Not our job to protect people from themselves at the expense of a fundamental right another.

What about if she is a crack addict or alcoholic and beats the child to death? You want these women to keep having children? What do we do just add more unwanted children to the care/adoption numbers?

@angelshoulders As for the charges of sexual assault. I have even heard of dentists sexually assaulting their clients so do you want to ban dentistry too. The bottom line is you don't have the legal right to tell a woman that she must be FORCED to carry a baby that she doesn't want. Some women end up hating their children and treating them badly when they are forced to keep them and there are already so many unwanted babies in the adoption system so adoption clearly isn't the answer.
